I woke up Monday morning with a smile on my face for some odd reason. No one wakes up with a smile. I remember Luke telling me he is going to pick me up this morning and take me to school. He said he'll be here around 8:00. It's 7:00. I have an hour, I can do this. I get up and go to my closet picking out a really cute top, not like what I normally wear and some skinny jeans. I curl my hair and apply some make up. I get finished and look at the clock. 7:55. I hear a horn outside and look out my window. There's Luke.

"Love you mom. Love you dad." I say heading out the door.

I get inside Luke's car. "Wow, I've missed your." I say.

"Wow, really! I've missed y-" I cut Luke off.

"Not you. The car." I laugh.

"Damn it car. What do you have that I don't have?" Luke asks and then laughs.

"So I finished that 300 word essay for Mrs. Bitch." I say.

"How much fun did you have? Wait, when did you finish it?" Luke ask.

"Friday night. And actually it's 350 words." I state.

I hear Luke mutter 'over achiever'. I punch Luke in the arm.

"Hey, I heard that fuckboy." I say.

"Fuckboy?" Luke ask.

"Yes. Fuckboy. Means a boy that can't do shit." I say.

"Lovely fuckgirl." He says.

"Not even real." I laugh.

We finally pull into the school parking lot. We walk past Michael and Kaitlyn.

"Hey Michael. Hey Kaitlyn." I say.

"Hey Kayla. Did you finish that essay on sarcasm?" Kaitlyn asks.

"Yes." I respond.

"Did you learn your lesson?" Kaitlyn laughs.

"Oh of course. NOT!" I laugh too.

"I'll see ya in class Kayla." Kaitlyn says, tuning back to Michael and giving him a kiss.

"Hell, I didn't know they were together." I say.

"Have been since freshman year. They're so cute." Luke says.

"You're such a girl." I say.

I get to my locker and get my stuff out for Mrs. Rangers class.

"I'll meet you outside of her class. Walk to math together." Luke says.

"Sure." I say.

I walk into class and hand Mrs. Ranger my essay.

"Did you learn your lesson Miss. Holt?" She ask.

"Yes, I did." I say.

"Good. You may take a seat." She says.

The class goes by rather quickly and soon Kaitlyn and I say our goodbyes and Luke and I walk to math. Something seems off with Luke.

"Hey are you alright?" I ask.

"What? Oh yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking." Liar.

We finally get into math and I notice Calum looks slightly worried. I sit down behind Hanley. Luckily, Mr. Page was out again. Damn where is this teacher?

"Hey guys." I say sitting down.

"Hey Kayla!" Hanley says. She picks up her books off of her table to put in her bag, but they all fall from her hands.
