"Did he really do that to you?" Ashton asks me. Luckily, the bullet went through his shoulder, instead of his heart.

"Yup." I say, "but I did kick his ass. Thanks Hanley for being one hell of a fighter and teacher." I laugh.

"I kicked the other guy's ass." Luke states.

"I'm gonna go get something to drink. Does anyone want anything?" I ask. 

"Could you get me a water please?" Hanley asks, digging her hand in her pocket.

"Yeah, I'll get it." I say, walking out. 

"Kayla!" I hear before I walk out the door, I turn around, "You may need my money." Hanley laughs.

"I said I'll get it." I say, pulling out some money. I laugh and close the door. I walk over to the vending machine and put in the money.

"How's your eye?" Luke asks, walking up to me. 

"It's okay. Hurts a little, but not as much as bad as yesterday."  I say, grabbing Hanley's water, before putting in another dollar, Luke stops me. "What are you doing?"

"I'll get it." He says, bumping me with his hip to move me out of the way.

"Come on Luke. I can get it." I say, trying to push him out of the way.

"Kayla. I will get it." He says. As hard as I push, he doesn't move. I start to laugh.

"God!" I say, giving up on moving him. He bends down and gets my water. "Thank you. You didn't have to." I say.

"I know, but I wanted to." He smirks. 

"Asshole." I laugh. 

"Hey! Watch it." He says, grabbing me and hugging me. 

"Luke! You're suffocating me!" I scream, causing a few nurses to look at us. 

"Shh, people are watching." He whispers. He leans his forehead against mine. "I've missed this so much."

"Me too." I say, closing my eyes.

"I'm looking for an Ashton Irwin." I hear someone ask one of the nurses. I know that voice.

"He is in room 234, bed 1." The nurse says.

"Luke, we can't let them go in there." I say, pulling out of Luke's grasp.

"What?" Luke asks, but I'm already walking over to them. 

"Kayla?" Alex asks me.

"You're not allowed to see Ashton." I tell her.

"What? Why?" She asks me.

"You mean you don't fucking know why you aren't allowed in there?" I say, "Are you stupid? Did you wake up with amnesia or something like that?"

"Kayla, I'm sorry." She says.

"No Alex. Sorry won't do shit!" I says, stepping closer to her.

"Hey." Luke says, picking me up and pulling me away.

"Luke? Kayla?" We hear Hanley ask, coming out of Ashton's room.

"What is Hanley doing here? Isn't her an Ashton broken up?" Alex asks me, with disgust written all over her face.

"They kind of made up." Luke says. 

"Wait, how did you even know about Ashton being in the hospital?" I ask Alex.

"Carson stopped by Calum's and told us." She says.

"Hey guys! What's tak-" Hanley starts to ask, until she see Alex. "What the fuck are you doing here?"

"To see my best friend. What about you, girl who left him?" Alex says, placing her hands on her hips.

"Best friend? Sweetie you lost that title a month ago." I say.

"They needed to fucking no about what you two do." Alex says.

"Did." I corrected her. "What we use to do." 

"Whatever. I want to see Ashton." She says, trying to walk past us. 

"No." Hanley says, stopping in front of her.

"Hanley. I suggest you get out of my way." Alex says.

"Wow. Why should I let my sister in to see Ashton, after she plots with one of my use to be best friends to break Ashton and I up and then FUCKS him right after?" Hanley says.

"Yeah, and still does." I says. Hanley looks over at me and I nod.

"Shut up Kayla." Alex says, punching me in the nose. I stumble back. Luke catches me.

"Kayla!? Are you okay?!" Luke says.

"Yeah." I say, holding my nose. 

"YOU BITCH!" Hanley screams and punches Alex right in the face. Alex stumbles back and goes for Hanley. 

"Hey, we're gonna go back into Ash's room." Luke says. 

"What about Hanley?" I ask, still holding my nose. A nurse came up to me and handed me some napkins. 

"She'll be fine." Luke says, looking back. "Yeah, she may get kicked out, but she'll be fine."

We walk inside Ashton's room. Luke sits me down in one of the chairs.

"What the fuck happened?" Ashton asks me, worriedly. 

"Fucking Alex." I say, trying to stop the blood. "I think she broke my fucking nose." 

"What is she doing here? Where's Hanley?" Ashton asks.

"Um, probably getting kicked out of the hospital." Luke says. 

"WHAT?!?!" Ashton yells. "What happened?" 

"The bitch wanted to come see you. I said hell no. She punched me in the face and Hanley went fucking ape shit on her ass." I say.

"Hanley." Ashton says, leaning back in his bed. 

"Alex said Carson showed up at Calum's house." I mention.

"What? Why would he go there?" Ashton asks me.

"Don't ask me. I don't have a clue." I say. 

"I swear, when I get out of this place, I'm making his life a living hell." Ashton says. 

"No, you're taking it easy. We know people. We'll get one of them." I say, wiping all the blood off.

"You know people? What kind of people?" Luke asks.

"Don't worry about it. Let's just say, if you need someone to hurt someone, or maybe kill someone, depends on what you want them to do." I laugh,

"Um, okay." Luke says, his eyes wide. Ashton and I laugh. We sit there for a few minutes, until we hear gunshots.

"Luke? Ashton?" I ask.

"Kayla?" They both say in unison.

"Did you guys hear that?" I asks, getting up and moving over to Luke. We both move closer to Ashton.

"Yeah, I heard that." Luke says, holding me.

"THE HOSPITAL IS NOW ON LOCK DOWN. I REPEAT THE HOSPITAL IS NOW ON LOCK DOWN!" We hear come over the intercoms. The door opens and Nurse Jackson comes in, out of breath.

"Everyone needs to get down." She says, coming over and taking Ashton out Ashton's IV really quick. We stand in the corner of Ashton's room. A few minutes later someone comes over the intercom.

"ASHTON. KAYLA. I'M HERE." I swear, shivers went up and down my arms and down my spine.

Carson is here.

He is going to kill us.

I just know.
