*LUKE'S P.O.V.*

Wait, what?

I can't believe this.

She's pregnant.

"Wait, tell me again." I say, smiling.

She smiles back at me, "I'm pregnant."

"I can't believe this." I say, laughing. "This is incredible."

"You're not mad?" She asks.

"Not really, I'm going to be a dad." I say, leaning over the console, grabbing her and pulling her into me.

"We're going to be parents." She says into my ear.

"We're going to be the best damn parents ever." I say. She pulls away from me, shaking her head.

"We're not going to be good if we keep up the cussing." She says.

"Oh, sorry." I say, smiling. I place my hand on her stomach, "Hey buddy, you probably can't hear me, but I just want you to know that I love you already. I hope you have my eyes." I say, I look back up at her and smile. I notice she has tears in her eyes. "What's wrong baby?"

"It's nothing, just happy, that's all." She says, smiling again. "Luke, I need to tell you something."

"Go ahead baby." I say, pulling back onto the road.

"Well-" She starts, but is interrupted by my phone going off.

"Can you get that, Kayla?" I ask.

"Yeah sure." She says. She answers the phone. "Hello? Yeah. Shit, really? Well, we'll be there soon." She says. "Okay, bye." She hangs up and looks at me.

"What's wrong? Is it Hanley?" I ask.

"No, it was Michael." She says, looking at the clock.

"What did he want?" I ask.

"We have to head back to the school. You're late and we're in deep shit." She says.

"What? I thought she said to be back before 12:30. I say, looking at the clock, "It reads 12 o'clock."

"Luke, your time is wrong." She says, trying not to laugh. "It's 12:35, honey." She says.

"Shit. We didn't even get lunch." I say, turning around.

"We'll be okay." She says, laughing. "We'll get something from one of the vending machines." When we finally get back to school, Mrs. Ranger is standing at the door.

"It's nice for you two to join us. Where have you been?" She asks.

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Ranger. My clock was wrong." I say.

"Don't you kids have phones?" She says, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Yes ma'm, but-" Kayla starts, but Mrs. Ranger cuts her off.

"You should have looked at them. If you're not going to take graduation practice seriously, I-" She says, but this time I cut her off.

"Mrs. Ranger, we are very serious about this, it was one little mistake." I say.

"Fine then, but next time, even if you're 1 second late, I will keep you from graduating. Now go in there and take your seats." She says, turning around and walking down the hallway.

"Someone put some extra bitch in their cereal this morning." Kayla says, causing me to laugh.

"True to that." I say, wrapping my arm around her and walking inside.
