"Kayla?" Someone says from the other side of the door, followed by a knock on the door.

"Yes?" I say. The door opens and reveals Ashton.

"I'm coming in." Ashton says.

"Why have you been acting like a Dad lately?" I laugh, sitting up in my bed.

"I honestly don't know, but I'm about to give a father speech." He laughs.

"Oh lord." I laugh, putting my head in my hand.

"Now, I want to tell you how proud I am." Ashton says, wrapping his arm around me. "You've been through hell and back."

"We all have tho." I say.

"I know, but I never got to thank you." He says.

"For what?" I asked, looking up at him.

"If it wasn't for you, I don't think we would have found you and Hanley." He says.

"I almost got killed for doing that." I say.

"You didn't. When I saw Carson and what you did, I had this gut feeling that he wouldn't do anything to you." He says.

"What do you mean?" I say.

"I don't know, I saw you and had hope. I just knew we were going to find you and Hanley soon after that." Ashton says.

"I thought we lost her. I saw so much." I pause and look down, trying to keep the tears from falling. "I still dream about it. I fear that Josh will come back or maybe Harry." I say.

"Hey, don't worry about them. They won't be back, I promise." Ashton says, wiping a tear away. "I also have to thank you for another thing." He says.

"What?" I ask.

"For letting Hanley and I meet." He says, a smile find its way to his face.

"That rave was fun." I laugh, the memory coming back to mind.

"You were shit faced so much!" Ashton laughs. "Honestly, thank you."

"You're welcome, Ash." I say.

"If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be doing this." He reaches in his pocket and pulls out a box. He opens it and reveals a beautiful ring.

"Ashton, I love you and all, but not like that. It's a no from me buddy." I say, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Good, cause it's not for you." He says, shoving me.

"Aww." I say, faking a pout. "So you're thinking about proposing?"

"No, I planned on wearing it myself." He says. "Of course."

"Damn, sassy pants." I say, laughing. "When are you going to do it?"

"Either tonight or tomorrow. I don't want to still someone else's thunder." He says, but quickly covers his mouth.

"Who's thunder?" I ask.

"Michael's. He planned on asking Kaitlyn to move in with him or something like that." Ashton says.

"WHAT?!? REALLY?!?" I say, getting excited.

"Yeah." Ashton says, running a hand through his hair. "Well, let's go get ready for graduation, shall we." He says, helping me up off the bed.

"We shall." I say.

----------------------------

The day I have been waiting for. Graduation. It's the day a chapter in your life ends and a new one begins. I'm glad to be starting my new chapter with some of the greatest people I know. I wouldn't admit it then, but I'm actually glad my parents decided to move me to Lincoln Prep. Even tho this year has been eventful, I wouldn't change it. I've changed who I am from everything that happened. I-

"Okay graduates. Everyone line up and get ready." Mrs. Ranger says, pulling me out of my thoughts. Luke wraps his arm around me.

"I love you." He says, kissing my temple.

"I love you." I say. Luke gets in front of me and everyone in line starts walking. I can feel my hands become sweaty.

"This is it." I hear Calum say from behind me. We get inside and take our seats. I look around and find Ashton just a couple seats down from us. He looks at me and smiles, causing me to smile back.

"Hey, over there's Hanley." I hear Luke whisper in my ear. I look over in the direction he is pointing and see Hanley sitting with Alex and Luke's parents. I wave up to her and she waves back. The speeches go by, long and boring, like always.

"Okay everyone, we're going to start handing out the diplomas." Mrs. Ranger says. We all stand up and wait for the names to be called. Luckily, this is a kind of small class, so the names go quickly and soon they are saying Luke's name.

"Luke Hemmings." Everyone cheers as he goes up and gets his diploma. I notice Hanley stick her hand in the air, like at the end of the Breakfast Club and then Luke does the same, which causes me to laugh.

"Kayla Holt." Again, the place feels with cheers as I walk on stage to get my diploma. I look up and notice Hanley's arm still in the air and decide to do it too, with a smile on my face.

"Calum Hood." They say soon as I am off the stage. I turn around and notice he did the same. It's like we're all in a club or something and I can't help but fight the smile that's making its way to my face. I get back over to Luke and stand next to him.

"We did it baby." He says, wrapping his arm around me and pulling me into him.

"We did!" I smile and place my lips onto his. I feel a tap on my shoulder and notice Calum standing there.

"We did it, mate!" He says, patting Luke on the back and hugging me.

"We fucking did it." Luke says back. I look up and notice Ashton is getting ready to go on stage.

"Ashton Irwin." Ashton goes on stage and all of us cheer as loud as we can. Soon his arm goes in the air. Ever since I started high school, this was what I was scared of. I was afraid that I would lose my friends. We all would go off to different places, never talk or see each other, but now I know that we all will never leave each other. Even tho there were times where I thought it was the end for me or that I would never see anyone again, everything turned out the way I hoped it would.

"Everyone, I'd like to introduce to you the Class of 2015!" Mrs. Ranger says. We all scream and shout, some people spraying silly string in the air. Luke grabs me and kisses. We kiss for what seems like forever, until we hear a thump. We pull apart and look towards Mrs. Ranger up at the mic. "Can we have Luke Hemmings to come up and do the final speech?" She says. I look over to Luke and he just shrugs his shoulders and walks up to the stage. All of seat back down and Luke starts talking.

"Well guys, we did it." He says, causing the class to shout. "Now it's time for us to face reality. Time for some of us to go off to college and some of to find jobs." He looks over to me before he speaks, "and for some, time to start families." I look down at my lap. "I haven't really thought much of what I wanted to do. I know I'm the math genius, because I've done some of your guys homework, Darin." Luke says, causing everyone to laugh. "All I know is I want to make the people around me proud. I know one person that has made me proud tho." He says, looking at me. "Kayla Holt, can you come up here?" He asks. I stand up slowly from my chair and walk to the stage and stand beside Luke. "Kayla moved here at the beginning of the year. She didn't know anyone really. This was probably one of the hardest years for her. Losing her mother, getting shot, getting kidnapped and held up by a psychopath, but none of that stopped her. Look at her stand here right now." He says, pulling his hands on my shoulders. "She's one of the strongest person I know. She's been through hell and back and I don't know how she does it. I couldn't ask for someone better to have in my life." He says, looking at me. "Kayla?"

"Luke?" I say, looking up at him.

"Will you marry me?" He gets down on one knee and pulls out the ring. I'm in shock. I hear some people gasp and a lot of aww's. I feel the tears pool in my eyes.

"Yes."

The End.
