Oh no! I'm in some deep shit now! She's going to yell at me. Oh god! I answer the phone.

"Hello" I say. I'm prepared for whatever she is going to says.

"You're in so much trouble Kayla Holt!" She yells. I hold the phone away from my ear, "You've lied to me and your father too many times-"

"Mom, I'm sorry" I hear my mom scream and a crash. "Mom?! MOM! HELLO?!" I yell into the phone. No answer. "MOM PLEASE ANSWER ME!! PLEASE TELL ME YOU CAN HEAR ME!! PLEASE MOM!" I start crying.

"Kayla what's wrong?" Luke asks.

"I don't know. I heard my mom scream and a crash. She's not answering me. MOM!" I sob. I start shaking.

"Kayla, calm down." Ashton says can trying to put his arm around me. I shove him away.

"NO ASH!! I CAN'T!! MY MOTHER COULD BE DEAD!! SHE'S NOT ANSWERING ME!! I WILL NOT HANG UP TILL SHE ANSWERS ME!" I yell at Ashton.

I stay on the phone trying to get my mom to reply to me. About 10 minutes later, I hear sirens in coming through the phone.

"Oh god! I hear sirens. Please Mom just answer me!! Please Mom!" I pled.

"Hello?" a male voice says.

"Yes, my names Kayla Holt. Is my Mom okay?" I rush.

"She's been in a car accident. We are trying to figure out what happened. Was you on the phone with you mother before this happened?" He asks.

"Yes, yes I was. I heard her scream and a crash. She never answered me after that. Please tell me she's alright." I say. Luke has ahold of me. I lay my head on his chest, trying to calm my tears.

"What's your mothers name?" The man asks.

"Karen Holt." I say.

"Is there any place I can meet you?" He ask. Is that a good thing? I don't think it is.

"Yes, I'm at Memorial Hospital." I say.

"Alright, I'll be there." The man says then hangs up.

"The guy is going to meet me here." I manage to say. "You guys can go ahead and go up to Hanley's room."

"I'll stay with you." Luke says.

"No, it's fine. Go up with the others." I say.

"No." Luke says, grabbing my shoulders. "I will not leave your side."

I nod. Calum comes and hugs me, "I hope everything is alright." He whisper.
Ashton comes up behind him and hugs me. "I love you Kay." He tells me.

"I love you to Ash. I'm sorry for yelling at you." I apologise.

"I don't care. If you need me, I'll be down here in a second. Okay?" Ashton tells me. I nod.

Ashton and Calum get in the elevator. Luke and I sit down in the waiting room. Luke grabs my hand. "Hey, I'm here. I promise." Luke says. "I'll never leave you."

I lay my head on Luke and just cry. We sit like that, my head on his chest, for about 5 minutes when paramedics rush in with a man.

"Head injury, fractured ribs, collapsed lung. DUI." The medic says. Luke and I get a look of the guy.

"Oh my god." Luke says.

"What is it?" I ask.

"That's Hanley's dad." Luke says.

"Isn't there another patient?" The nurse asks.

"DOA. Tried to get a pulse, but never worked. My heart goes to the Holt family." My heart shattered. I scream!

"KAYLA!" Luke yells rushing over to me. "What's wrong?"

The medic rushes over, "Is she okay?"

"W-what's th-the name-e o-of the-e person?" I manage to get out.

The medic must figure out I'm the daughter. "Karen Holt."

Another scream, "NO NO NO NO NO!" I scream repeatedly. "THIS ISN'T HAPPENING!"

"CODE BLUE IN TRAUMA BAY 3! CODE BLUE!" The lady over the intercom says.

"That's the guy." The medic says. "Son, stay with her." He tells Luke.

Luke hugs me while we are sitting in the floor. "I got you Kayla." He says stroking my hair.

"No Luke, this is a dream." I sob into his chest. "It can't Luke."

I feel another pair of arms wrap around me and Luke's arms are gone. I look up into the glossed over eyes of my father. I cry harder.

"It's my fault dad! She called me and it's my fault!" I yell.

"No Kayla, it's not." My dad says.

Luke must've went and got Ashton, because Ashton comes down and cries with my father and I. My mom use to watch Ashton, that's how we became inseparable.

There are a couple of nurses that come out from the back.

"Time of death of Mr. Nixon, 9:34 p.m." One of the nurses says.

First Hanley gets hurt, now my mother is dead. What are we going to do? My father has no job. We have no money. There's only one option.

As badly as I don't want to, I have to. I just hope it doesn't bite me in the ass again.
