It is not another Naruto fanfic. It is a high school drama story where each chapter written as a summary POV of a different character.

Your feedback and support is much appreciated. After a long and grueling healing process, somewhere in that night I was able to rest in peace-or some semblance of it. Ino and Sakura were able to heal me until all that was left was to stitch me up and wrap me up-that included my shoulder blades. When they gauzed up my abdomen, my dress officially tore to pieces and no longer clung to my body. So, I was changed into basic sweats like what Kakashi wore. I refused to be put into a medical gown-I couldn't be seen in one.
And now I laid awake, savoring the sight I held when I first opened my eyes this mid-morning. No matter how tired he was, Itatsu refused to sleep until Sakura and Ino had finished healing me. And once they were done, he instantly curled into my side and fell asleep holding onto me.
Maya wasn't left out of this equation. We had forgotten to update Kurenai of my situation and eventually she helped guide our little girl back to her family when she couldn't stand staying away from us any longer. She wasn't traumatized like Itatsu was, most of the healing already down by that point. But she also didn't want to be far from her Mom in this state either and had fallen asleep on my other side.
So as I said, I savored this moment with Itatsu and Maya's head resting at my collarbone. If Kakashi had first choice, of course he'd have spent the night holding me close and never letting me go. But it was also heartwarming to see the kids cradled and their love for me as we slept.
I glanced over to see Kakashi, his head still tilted from when he watched us sleep, but his eyes finally closed as well. He had the hardest time of us all getting to sleep, nerves wrecked by the events of the night and his wife's near demise. Not wanting to wake him or the kids, I quietly and gently shuffled them to laying on the ground beside me. Itatsu grunted and mumbled something in his sleep-I think I heard something along the lines of "stupid monster"-and then he fell right back to sleep.
I held my breath and gritted my teeth as I pulled myself up from the ground. Anyone else in my condition probably shouldn't move for quite some time-and by time, I meant DAYS. But I didn't have that kind of luxury. Not while I was still surrounded by all these kunoichi.
I realized it must have been mid-morning to close to afternoon when I stepped outside of the tent. A third of the tents were already broken down and gone, the ninja from the sand village not wasting time in packing up and starting their long trek back home. And just as I had declared last night on the battlefield, a portion of the children and kunoichi followed with them.
"Amaterasu-" uh oh I heard my full name spoken in the tone of a Mother about to give a scolding. Sakura was returning to check on me and caught her patient being bad "-what are doing up-"
"-so early? I'm surprised myself, I did go to sleep quite late." I cut her off before she said the wrong thing out loud. Everything transpired so quickly and I was incapacitated before I could warn Sakura that no one could know of my condition. Sakura looked at me like I had two heads, and she wasn't the only one. The tent flap parted to reveal an agitated Kakashi who awoke with a startle when I was gone. "Ok, I'll go back inside now." I muttered to the two before they started arguing over me for everyone to hear.
