"You want to send me on a mission?" I repeated, making certain I had heard her right.
She nodded her head, "That's right."
"Lady Hokage, I am honored that you trust me enough to execute a mission on behalf of the Hidden Leaf, but if I take a mission I'll be leaving Itatsu." I tried to politely decline.
She glanced at the ring Kakashi had given me, then smiled politely back at me. "I don't think I've congratulated you yet on the engagement. I'm glad there is finally someone I can go to when I need help keeping Kakashi in line-" and she ignored my polite decline by fluffing me up, "-but I'd say the real congratulations from what I hear is that Kakashi is also Itatsu's biological father. Did I hear that correctly?"
I blushed lightly, imagining she must think me feel a little foolish that for never realizing, "Yes you did."
Lady Tsunade reached into her desk drawer, pulling out two small glasses and a bottle of Sake. She poured us each a cup and passed me one. "I'd say that deserves a cheers to destiny." She said, raising her glass.
I picked up mine and clanked it on hers, "to destiny" I smiled and sipped on the Sake.
"And now that destiny has brought you both back together, who better to watch over Itatsu while you're on mission than his own Father?" She asked.
"But doesn't Kakashi have his own missions?"
"It is the Hokage that assigns every mission. If Kakashi is needed in Konoha in order for you to complete your mission, then that will be his mission."
"But I don't want to take away from his miss-"
"Ama, his duty is to his Hokage and Konoha. He'll understand."
"I've never gone a day without being with Itatsu since he was born. I don't think I could properly concentrate on a mission away from him."
"Ama, I haven't even told you the mission. Why don't you want to take this mission?" Tsunade was done playing run around with me and cut to the chase.
"I told you, Itatsu-"
Tsunade smacked her hand against her desk, "I said 'why don't you want to take this mission?'!"
"Because you have dozens of qualified ninja at your disposal, but you came to me. This isn't about trust and faith in me. It's WHAT you need done that makes me the only ninja who can do it."

I didn't go back to class after speaking with the Hokage, but I didn't go home either. I figured Kakashi would either be there or go looking for me there, and I wanted a little alone time to calm down and to wrap my head around my conversation with the Hokage.
So here I was in one of the training dojo's. It was just me in the building and I took out my frustrations on the punching bag in front of me-and this time I didn't hold back my punches.
But of course I couldn't be alone forever. I got about half an hour in before I heard the doors creak open. "So this is where you've been hiding." Kakashi mused.
"I'm not hiding." I grunted through gritted teeth as I punched the bag. It gave a mighty swing to the right, but Kakashi caught it.
"Well, you weren't home."
"Am I only allowed to be at work or at home, now?" I sneered-admittedly part of me was riled up from my meeting with the Hokage and the adrenaline of training-but he didn't know that.
