"Look!" Maya ran out of her bedroom and twirled as she came down the hall. "What do you think?" She asked me excitedly.

"Maya, you are the prettiest girl I have ever seen."

I had spent the last hour helping Maya curl her hair into big wavy ringlets just as she had begged me to. And now she had finished off the look with the cutest dress. The top half was black 3/4 length sleeves and a scoop neck. The bottom half was a pink tutu like skirt with white polka dot hearts. A white ribbon sash joined the two halves at her waist. And she personally picked out the pink glittered ballet slipper flats that went with it.

Maya stopped twirling for a moment and gave me a serious look. "You're not just saying that cause you have to, right?"

"There is nothing that I have to say. Now when you first woke up this morning with that bed head and mornings breath, that might not have been the prettiest-"

"Ok, ok, I get it!" She cut me off from my tease.

"Get what?"

Maya rolled her eyes at me. "That I'm the prettiest girl you've ever seen." She might have started that sentence with an eye roll, but she ended it with a bashful smile.

"I don't know about that-" Kakashi stepped into the hall as he adjusted his tie. "-I'd say beautiful." He complimented, making her blush.

"I...think I have to go fix my hair..." she trailed off and ran away down the hall, getting embarrassed by all our attention.

"Here, give me that." I took the tie from Kakashi as he fumbled it.

"Thanks. I think this is like the second time in a decade I've worn one of these things."

"Four." I corrected. He raised a brow at me in question. "That I know of. When I first met you as Ita, when you reminded me of Ita, our wedding and now."

(A/N: I remembered after writing that, that he was wearing a yukata and not a tie at the masquerade ball, but I was like "It sounds stinking cute! I'm keeping it 😋 lol)

Kakashi smiled, thinking of the memories, and gave me a soft kiss.

Then I finished tweaking his tie and rested my hands on it on his chest. "When I really think about it, the best memories I have with you you've worn a tie. So there's no doubt tonight is going to be a great memory for Maya."

It was the day before Valentine's Day and Konoha was having a Father Daughter dance. The day Maya heard people talking about it in town, she came home so excited and nervous to ask Kakashi to take her. It was the sweetest thing and melted our hearts.

"Are you sure you're okay with us leaving you?" Kakashi worried over me for the umpteenth time today. It wasn't that he didn't want to go. He laid his hand on my very round belly. I was due in two weeks, and the closer we got the more he fretted over me. He even got Lady Tsunade to extend him a leave from missions to watch over me.

I shook my head with a chuckle over his needless worry. It was sweet. "Kakashi-" I clasped my hand over his on my belly, "-once Jiraiya picks up Itatsu, it's just going to be me and a bath and a nap. I don't plan to go anywhere or do anything except rest my weary feet and back. I think I can handle that on my own. Boringly so, on my own. Now, I will be upset if I don't get another kiss before you leave-" he promptly gave me another kiss, this one much deeper than the last one. When he pulled back, I was all smiles. "-thank you. And also a picture of you and Maya." I quickly added in and he chuckled at me.

"Of course. I'll go get the camera for you." Kakashi quickly disappeared before I could argue. He'd been very sweet, just like that, as we got closer to Aiko arriving. Insisting to do so much for me to keep me from moving around as much. I think part of him worried with my body having been so stressed the first five months that any little stressers now might be the straw that breaks the camels back. And it was so sweet how much he worried over me.
