Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate! And Happy Thursday to all others!

"So how's my girl been doing?" I whirled around at Kakashi's voice which came from no where. He chuckled at my reaction as he took his seat at the bar. I glanced nervously up and down the bar, hoping no one else had heard that.

I stepped closer to him in a hushed tone, "Will you be more careful where you say things like that?" I chastised.

Kakashi didn't look phased, "I missed you, too Atsumi." He grinned under his mask.

I blushed and rolled my eyes, "yeah, yeah-" Kakashi stared me down with a raised brow, making me nervous and avert my gaze, "-I missed you too." I mumbled just loud enough for him to hear, "-but that doesn't mean you can talk like that here." Kakashi shook his head with a chuckle at how quickly I went back to chastising him, "-no one can her us or know that..." I trailed off, not really having a word for what we were.

"You're mine?" He finished.

I turned to Kakashi with a stern look...he knows better than that...we're not an item

"Hey sweatheart!" A customer at the other end of the bar called out before I could correct him. He jingled his empty glass in the air, signaling he needed another drink.

I sighed, "Give me a minute." then walked to other end. The customer had set his glass back down on the bar. "Another whiskey?" I asked as I grabbed it.

He grabbed my hand holding the whiskey, his touch lingering as he gave me a smirk, "Let's make it a scotch." He said, as if his change in order was reason enough to touch me.

I didn't react to his advance and pulled my hand back with a respectable smile as a good employee should do. "Alright, sir. One scotch-neat or on the rocks?"

He glanced around me, noting the scotch was already on this side of the counter, but the ice was on the other side. "On the rocks" he answered with a wink. I repressed an eye roll and turned to get his ice while the perv took his opportunity to watch me bent over.

Kakashi heard and knew exactly what this guy was up to. He'd put him in his place if he could, but all he was allowed was to sit there and grit his teeth. He hated it every time he was left to watch this.

I finished pouring the man's drink, purposely setting it down just out of his reach and sliding it over. He picked up his drink, took a sip, then leaned over the bar on his elbows. "So how come a woman like you ain't got a man?" He asked, not hiding as he glanced me up and down.

"Who says I don't have a man?" I retorted.

"If a man had a girl as beautiful as you, there's no way he'd let her work here. I know I wouldn't." He responded back, thinking he was being charming and clever all at once.

I just scoffed at his statement while Kakashi fantasized about giving this guy a nice shiner. "Your mistake is assuming I would let a man tell me what to do." I informed him, then turned on my heel before he could make any other charming little comments.

"All right-" I mumbled to myself as I picked up a dirty glass waiting for me just under the bar top. I glanced up at Kakashi as I grabbed a dish rag and began cleaning. "-Kakashi" I said his name in a warning tone, not liking the look on his face.

"Well he's not wrong." He muttered, loud enough for me to hear his annoyance and low enough that no one else overhead.

I sat the glass down, still holding tight to the rim as I stared Kakashi down. "Exactly what does that mean?" Warning still lacing my tone.

"I don't like you working here. This place is no good for you."

"No good for me?" I repeated with another scoff and crossed my arms over my chest "Well I'm sorry if you don't like it, but you know it's this or nothing. I'm surprised you're making a deal out of it considering so."
