A/N: Sorry this chapter took so long to get out. The new Pokemon Sword&Shield game came out mid writing this chapter. And my boyfriend bought me a switch and the game as a surprise early birthday gift. So I've been addicted to that game since it released. And OMG, I love my Galarian Rapidash!

'Tamara' wiped down the mirror and paused, staring down the red haired blue eyed girl staring back at her. Once the view had cleared enough, she grabbed a chunk of her long bangs to braid it. With the colorful beads put back in place, her hair shortened back to brown. Freshly showered and cleaned, her choppy bangs shined as they hung around her now violet eyes.

Then she stared at the pile of clothes Daichi had given her. "They were my son's, so they might not be as pretty as you'd hope, but they should fit." She remembered his words. The pile consisted of a red t-shirt and a blue jean jumper. He was right, it wasn't 'cute', but it would do.

Tamara timidly glanced around the bathroom door, looking for Daichi. But first she was met by the pleasant smell of whatever he was cooking. The pleasant aroma filled her nostrils and as if on cue her stomach growled. Clasping her stomach, she couldn't remember the last time she ate.

"It's okay to come out, you know." A voice hollered from the kitchen, making her jump. He had heard the door creak open, and noticed the pitter patter of footsteps hadn't followed.

Tamara blushed as she forced herself to release her white knuckle grip from the door. "I-i'm done-" she murmured shyly when she reached the end of the hall. "-is there anything I can do to help?" She didn't want to seem useless while this man was being so kind to her.

Daichi glanced over his shoulder to her, giving her a closed eye grin. "You can help yourself to some dinner-" he nodded his head to the table, "-grab yourself a plate and come on over."

She nodded her head, did as told, and held the plate out to him, waiting for whatever morsel he was willing to give her. Her eyes downcast to the floor, too shy to make eye contact with him as he ladled.

"Are you okay?" He asked at her behavior, finally getting her to look back up at him in shock.

"Y-yes, I'm fine-" then her eyes landed on the plate in her hands and she gasped. Never had she seen so much food-and just for her.

Daichi chuckled lightly at how wide her eyes grew. And then the growl of her stomach followed and it turned into laughter. "Hungry?" He chuckled, making her blush. "Well, don't wait on me. Go ahead and start eating." He told her while plating his own food.

Even though she hurried with excitement to the table, she hesitated with that first bite. She had never smelt something so savory and good. And then she let the forkfull of spaghetti touch her tongue and she was lost. Before Daichi could finish plating his own food, she had it all in her mouth and gulped it down in her excitement. The fork clattering on the plate was what made Tamara realize that it was empty. She hopped up from the table and gave Daichi a shock when he turned around to find her with her plate held out and a puppy dog face hoping for more.

"More already?!" He gaped and she nodded her head with a 'mhmm' "But you don't want to spoil your appetite before dessert, do you?" She just tilted her head in curiosity at 'dessert' "dessert...you know the best meal of the day?" Her expression continued to remain blank. "Well tonight, it's chocolate pudding." He smiled.

"Chocolate?" She looked so confused.

"Choc-" he gasped, "you know what chocolate is, right?" She shook her head 'no'. "Well then, you must try this now." He went into the fridge and brought out a big bowl. Then he tore off the plastic wrap and without bothering to scoop it out into bowls he just grabbed two spoons from the drawer. "Alright-" he gave her a spoon and plopped the bowl in front of her seat. "-dig in." He grinned.
