A/N: Growing up, everyone has their holiday traditions that they look forward to. Now that I'm all grown up, I decided to do a few things this year to try and start my own holiday traditions. One thing I'm going to try is baking some homemade treats to mail to my family & friends instead of Christmas cards.
Then today I thought it would be sweet to send a couple of these to my readers. To keep from stretching myself too thin with this, I'm just going to send two. If you are interested, PM me your address and on the day I finally get to making them I will do a random draw from a hat out of all the readers who messaged me and send it to those two. It's probably best to keep it to US residents. No discrimination against my readers outside of the US, I just honestly don't know how long it would take to mail overseas and how long the treats would stay good during that time frame. Also, part of my delay in posting is that I just got caught up in reading The Masked Jounin in by RiddleMeHiddles. If you haven't read it, check it out! It's awesome
Kakashi finally found spotted the giant mane of white hair he'd been looking for, hunched forward sitting on a bench. He breathed a sigh of relief. He was almost certain he'd have to go to some less savory areas to track down this pervert.
"Jiraiya" He said his name and nodded in hello as he sat next to him on the bench. Jiraiya looked up at Kakashi with a smile while folding up that worn and torn manuscript and pocketing it in his robe. Kakashi immediately eyed it, "you don't have to put that away on my behalf. You can keep working on it if you'd like."
"Kakashi" Jiraiya greeted back with a closed eye grin, "and of course I do. Can't be giving away spoilers before it's ready." He chuckled and Kakashi pouted behind his mask. "So what can I do for you, Kakashi?" he asked.
"Why must you assume I want something?"
Jiraiya leaned back against the bench with a shake of his head. "I'm not the kind of man people come looking for without a need," Then the pervy sage came out and he finished that thought with a suggestive brow raise, "if you know what I mean."
"Wouldn't you have to give the women a chance to come to you first?" Kakashi retorted.
Jiraiya's brow twitched, "I'm sorry, you were hoping to get a favor from me?" He reminded Kakashi to shut him up.
Kakashi rubbed the back of his neck "Right, sorry-"
"So you do need me!" Jiraiya interjected with a 'hah' and a grin, glad to always be right.
"Nothing major, just a minor favor that I would really appreciate."
"That doesn't sound minor."
"About a month ago, some sleeze from the club tried to attack Atsumi when she was trying to walk home. I've been walking her ho...walking with her to make sure she's safe." Jiraiya raised his brow with a smirk, catching his correction...and where has Kakashi been walking her to? "I leave for a mission tonight and won't be back for maybe a week. Will you keep an eye over her for me? Help me make sure she's safe while I'm gone?"
Jiraiya's smirk changed to a genuine smile. His elbow propped on the back of the bench, leaning in closer to his Jonin friend. "You really like her, don't you?"
"I..." Kakashi blushed under his mask. He'd professed his love many times without thought to Atsumi, but for some reason fessing up to Jiraiya made him shy, "yes...yes I do." He admitted with a soft closed eye grin.
"Good," he resumed relaxing back into the bench, "I might actually consider this favor then." He joked.
"Jiraiya-"
