Chapter 21 - Just Friends

You're looking Loki into his eyes which get slowly filled up with tears.

-Loki: "It's the best when we're staying just friends."

And with that sentence Loki walked away from you to hide his tears. Just friends? Your chest hurts a bit again, but not as much as the last time. Laufey suddenly appeared again.

-Loki: "Y/n, careful!", he shouted as he wanted to fight Laufey, but you stopped him with your power and froze his feet to the ground.
-Laufey: "I see you didn't tell him."
-Loki: "What the hell, Y/n. He's dangerous.", he tried to get out of the ice.
-Y/n: "Then I'm dangerous too."
-Loki: "What did he tell you? How did he manipulate you?"
-Y/n: "He didn't manipulate me, he showed me my past."
-Loki: "Well, if i remember it right, you lived in an isolated room and that you know your past very well."
-Y/n: "Yes i know. You asked me where i got this gown from. I got it when i fought in the war which saved the realms and destroyed this planet."
-Loki: "How is that possible?", Loki stopped trying to get out of the ice and looked shocked.
-Y/n: "I don't know, but i also don't care at the moment. C'mon, let's go home.", he nodded and you melted the ice.
-Laufey: "Farewell, princess"
-Y/n: "Farewell."

You and Loki went to the place where the Bifrost can be opened. On the way Loki asked you a lot of questions, but you just told him, that you'll tell it when you're at home again, that you don't have to say it a thousand times. The Bifrost isn't opening, not even after you screamed 10 times and Loki tried it for another 10 times.

-Y/n: "Something is wrong."
-Loki: "I swear it's not me.", he lifted his hands in the air.
-Y/n: "I want to try something, stand back."

He did as you told him. Ok, if I'm the most powerful person in every universe, then I should manage it to open a portal to Asgard. You concentrated and just thought about Asgard. The ground started shaking and you started to form a circle with some of the stones that are laying around. The structure was ready, just the actual portal is missing. You tried your best, but it wouldn't work.

-Y/n: "Dammit! Those fucking pills!", you grab into your bra, took out the bottle with the pills inside and threw them on the ground.
-Loki: "It's going to be okay, you just-"
-Y/n: "No, Loki! Maybe some frost giants got back to Asgard. I'm responsible if anything happened."
-Loki: "Or they don't open it, because we're in the middle of a trap.", he looked around.
-Y/n: "What? Why would Laufey do that?"
-Loki: "Because of me."

Suddenly an army of frost giants came out of nowhere and were threatening you.

-Y/n: "We have to do that peacefully. No one gets killed, just knocked out. You understood?"

Loki couldn't reply, because many frost giants already attacked him, but none of them attacked you. Then Laufey appeared.

-Laufey: "This is not your fight, Y/n."
-Y/n: "I don't want to do this, Laufey. Just stop them."
-Laufey: "There's no other option than to fight with him, or to let him die."
-Y/n: "Then he has to die.", you walk to the side of Laufey.
-Loki: "Y/n, please!", he was able to shout, but still fought against the frost giants and you were able to see his face one last time.
-Laufey: "You made the right choice, princess."
-Y/n: "Yes I did."

As you said that, you stabbed Laufey, just so that he could survive. Then you run back to Loki, told him with your eyes to stand behind you. He understood and did as you said. You created a shield around you and set it on the outside on fire. Then you made a circle of fire around the shield and started to burn every frost giant that was standing there. You opened the roof of the shield and flew outside.

-Y/n: "Is there anyone who wants to die or are you giving up already?"

Everyone kneeled, you landed back on the ground and removed the shield. You took Laufey and made sure that he's still alive.

-Y/n: "Go back to Asgard. I'll take care of him.", you told Loki with the back to him.
-Loki: "Wha- No. I can't just leave you here."
-Y/n: "Who almost died?", you turned around to face him.
-Loki: "But what if anything happens to you?"
-Y/n: "I'll be fine, just go. Oh and take this.", you gave him a necklace with an ice crystal.
-Loki: "What's that for."
-Y/n: "It will open the Portal whenever you want. Maybe you'll pay me a visit sometime."
-Loki: "You can't stay here. You're home is by Stark."
-Y/n: "Oh yeah? Those people lied and betrayed me just as Hydra did. I first have to find out about my past and how I ended up on Earth."
-Loki: "I can come whenever I want to?"
-Y/n: "Whenever you want to.", you repeated and gave him a hug.
-Loki: "Then you'll probably don't have to wait for me too long.", he smiled and turned around to go.
-Y/n: "Oh and Loki, thank you for everything. Don't do anything stupid while I'm here."
-Loki: "We'll see."

You watched him as he walked away, until you weren't able to see him anymore. Then the necklace with an ice crystal around your neck, just the same as Loki's, began to glow which means that he used the portal. You're alone, but this time you were ok with it, because you wanted it to be like that.

I know I'm not really making Loki the bad guy, but please remember that Loki has feelings for y/n and that he doesn't want to screw anything up. That's the reason why he's so nice.
