Chapter 30 - Recovery

You can't see anything, you just hear them talking about you or other things. Meanwhile your whole body burns and you're in so much pain. It feels like you're getting burned. You want to scream the whole time but you can't move or talk or do anything else. You were restless, but when you heard the voice of Loki it kinda calmed you down, but you don't know why. You listened to the conversation.

-Loki: "Give her this liquid, but be careful if she gets too much she'll be addicted to it."
-Strange: "Good, thank you."
-Tony: "Yeah thank you, but you should go now."
-Loki: "I beg your pardon?"
-Tony: "I said you should leave this room. No, even better, leave this planet."
-Loki: "I love y/n more dearly than any of you. I will not leave."

After that you didn't hear anything, you guessed that they're shocked, but who wouldn't after this. Then someone broke the awkward silence, that was even really awkward for you.

-Strange: "I'll give her the liquid now."
-Tony: "Yeah, yeah that would be great."

You feel how something cold touches your lips. It's pleasing and cools you down a bit. Then you feel this liquid what they were talking about in your mouth. It tastes like Blueberries. You swallow it and you're happy that you can do this again. The burning in your body stopped and you can start moving again. Then you open your eyes.

-Peter: "Hey, y/n."
-Tony: "Thank goodness you live."

You tried to speak, but nothing came out.

-Peter: "Don't worry about it. Everything will be okay."
-Steve: "Here some paper and a pen."
-Y/n: Why am i not able to speak?
-Strange: "I had to open up your neck, but I think when you try it slowly you can speak really soon again."
-Y/n: I want a mirror.; they were looking at each other but then Steve gave it to you.
-Steve: "But don't freak out."

You look into the mirror and see a bandage around your neck. What the hell?

-Y/n: Is this going to be a scar?
-Strange: "I tried to cut as small as possible."
-Y/n: Were there fragments or was it just a guess of you?
-Strange: "It... was a guess."
-Y/n: Get out. Everyone of you.
-Tony: "Y/n, calm down. It was to save your life and he couldn't make any ultrasounds before, because you almost died.", you roll with your eyes but then agree.
-Natasha: "How do you feel?"
-Y/n: I'm in pain, but that's ok I guess.
-Strange: "That's part of the healing process.", you nod
-Y/n: Y'all look really tired.
-Steve: "That's because we haven't slept."
-Y/n: Then get some rest now. I'll be fine, don't worry.

After a few minutes and after a lot of "are you sure" they finally left, except for Loki and Peter.

-Y/n: You two should get some rest too.
-Peter: "It's alright, I just slept a bit and when I fall asleep now, I can't get up tomorrow for school."
-Loki: "Could you give us a moment, spider boy?"
-Peter: "Uh yes.", he said after looking at you, who nodded. He left the room and Loki sat next to you.
-Loki: "I was so worried about you."
-Y/n: Well, I life.
-Loki: "Yes, I know."
-Y/n: What's the matter?
-Loki: "I always denied it and didn't think that it was possible for someone like me, but-", he got interrupted by Tony, who just got into the room.
-Tony: "Loki, we should have a talk."
-Loki: "We will, after I'm done here.", you laid your hand on his and nodded. After he sighed he left the room with your father and Peter came inside.
-Peter: "I'm sorry, am I disturbing you? Do you want to be alone? I can go if you want to.", you smiled and shook your head as a sign that he could come inside.
-Peter: "What did Loki tell you?"
-Y/n: Nothing. He got interrupted by Tony.
-Peter: "I'm so glad that you woke up again."
-Y/n: Were y'all really that worried about me?
-Peter: "Oh yes. Loki never left your side and neither did I. Well, I sometimes had to leave, but not for a long time."

He told you (almost) everything that had happened and you hoped that Loki would come back to finish his sentence, but even when everyone else was back in your room, he didn't showed up. When the sun went down you got really tired and everyone, even Peter, left you, so that you can sleep.

I hope you like my story 'til now. I'll also write other books in the future and I have a lot of ideas, but I first want to finish this book before I start something new.
