Chapter 48 - Rescue

— your POV —

You're already up, because you were excited and you couldn't sleep anyway, but you let Peter sleep. You already put on your clothes, but nothing special because they will change when you enter Jotunheim.

-Y/n: "Good morning, babe, time to wake up.", you gave him a kiss and he immediately smiled.
-Peter: "Good morning.", he kissed you back.
-Y/n: "Have you slept good?"
-Peter: "Yes I did, I assume you didn't sleep at all?", he asked when he stood up.
-Y/n: "Not really, but don't worry okay? After this is over, everything will be just fine."
-Peter: "I know. I'll get ready.", he goes into the bathroom.
-Y/n: "I'll be at the dining room."

You told him and left. You're afraid of what will happen when you see Loki and what he will think of this rescue. I'll just have to make it obvious enough that he doesn't even think that I might want something from him. You just hoped everything will work without any destruction. As you arrived the dining room, everyone was already there.

-Natasha: "Hey, where is Peter?"
-Y/n: "Oh, he's just getting ready. I just woke him up.", you said while preparing your breakfast.
-Steve: "Are you sure you want to do this for Loki?"
-Y/n: "Yes, absolutely. I owe him this, but he knows that I never want to see him again."

You like that they're worried about you, but it's also kinda annoying. After a while Peter finally came and when everyone was done with breakfast, you started to get your stuff to fight. You met outside of the headquarter where the big hole is from when the crystal necklaces exploded.

-Tony: "Okay, everyone is here, but please try to not let anything explode."
-Y/n: "Says the guy who ones sold bombs and guns."

Everyone laughed and you started to create a new portal to Jotunheim. The ground was shaking and everyone was kinda looking around and was also amazed from what you can do. Finally it's done.

-Y/n: "Okay, so you now the plan."

Everyone nod, but before they were allowed to go through the portal, you created this magic shield which you talked about.

-Y/n: "Just a little rewind. Don't let them touch you, this shield is not protecting you completely. Try to do it as peaceful as possible, but when you see the beacon you're allowed to kill.", everyone listened carefully.
-Tony: "Be careful with this blue guy."
-Thor: "His name is Laufey."
-Tony: "Yeah whatever."
-Y/n: "Okay, let's go."

You stepped through the portal and saw Jotunheim in all its glory. At least he kept his promise with not destroying the planet.

-Y/n: "Be careful and it's probably the best if you stay here and let the fight come to you."
-Peter: "Y/n!", he screamed.
-Y/n: "I'll promise, nothing will happen to me, but you have to promise it too."
-Peter: "I promise."

You kissed each other and then you flew to the palace. You got greeted at the doors and stepped inside.

-Laufey: "Seems like he isn't that important to you.", he said as soon as you stepped with one foot inside.
-Y/n: "Listen Laufey, we don't want to fight against you, just let Loki go and stop the slavery.", he started to laugh.
-Laufey: "You were a fool to let me be king again, but I'm sure you already know that."
-Y/n: "I knew that even before I let you be king again.", Laufey winked with his hands and the guards brought Loki inside.
-Laufey: "You came for him, didn't you?"
-Y/n: "Loki...", you whispered as you saw his face full of bruises.
-Laufey: "It's pathetic that he wants you so much that he didn't tell you the truth."
-Y/n: "What is he talking about?", you asked Loki who was staring at the ground.
-Loki: "You are his daughter.", he said, still not looking at you.
-Y/n: "No, I'm Tony's-", you got silent.
-Laufey: "After your death you're getting reborn, every time. You're also my daughter."
-Y/n: "Does that mean-?", you looked at Loki, because you didn't want to believe Laufey.
-Loki: "We're not related, Y/n, but you kind of are the daughter of him."
-Y/n: "And you didn't tell me?", you got angry.
-Loki: "I haven't had chance.", he got angry too.
-Y/n: "You know what? This doesn't matter right now. I want that you're giving up the throne."
-Laufey: "What are you going to do, if not?"
-Y/n: "We have to fight."
-Laufey: "Then it shall be a war."

You formed the beacon, that the Avengers know that the war started. The next thing you do is to free Loki, who quickly ran to you.

-Y/n: "Stay close to me and don't ask questions."

He got to your back and you created a bubble around you. You gave Loki some special daggers and made the bubble explode. Then you began to fight.

-Loki: "Tell me you have a plan."
-Y/n: "To be honest, at this point the plan stops.", you talked while you were fighting.
-Loki: "Laufey is running away. Get him, I can handle them."
-Y/n: "Thank you."

You left Loki and ran after Laufey. You followed him into the abandoned room.

-Y/n: "You're such a coward. Running away was always your option."
-Laufey: "Well, it was actually my plan to get you here. Remember him?", you saw a silhouette coming out of the shadows.
-???: "Oh, I hope you do, if not I'd be very disappointed."
-Y/n: "Cepheus!?"
-Cepheus: "Right in front of you.", he smiled.
-Y/n: "I thought you killed him years ago.", you talked to Laufey again.
-Laufey: "It's the best to always have a trick."
-Cepheus: "Have you missed me? Mourned about me?"
-Y/n: "Not a bit, traitor."
-Cepheus: "Woa, don't hurt me like that."
-Y/n: "You always thought you're the best at everything, didn't you?"
-Cepheus: "It's just the truth."

You feel his dark blue eyes digging deep into your soul and it makes you feel really uncomfortable.

-Y/n: "Why did you reveal that he's alive? Which advantage is it for you?"
-Laufey: "It's two against one and I've seen Cepheus fighting. You don't have a chance and just Loki knows where you are, but he will take the first opportunity to go away.", it hurts you because you know it's true.
-Y/n: "If this is my prophecy, it shall be it."

The fight starts and you try your best. Cepheus is fighting with his sword, he always did that and he is very good at handling it. Laufey is using his ice magic. Laufey isn't really a problem for you, but Cepheus just isn't stepping back. He is attacking you the whole time. You always have to dodge his attacks. Then Cepheus managed to slide his sword through your belly. You drop on the floor and Cepheus steppes over you.

-Cepheus: "You're going to die and this because of me, again.", he laughed and swings his sword in the air.
