Chapter 49 - Death

Cepheus is swinging his sword in the air.

-Cepheus: "You're going to die."
-Y/n: "I know.", you get free of his grip and his sword missed you, "but not today."

You stand up again and your eyes began to shine.

-Y/n: "You always underestimated me, but I have to admit I always underestimated you too."
-Cepheus: "You're nothing. You're just someone who doesn't know who her parents are or where she comes from."
-Y/n: "You're right, I was always lost, didn't know where my home was, but I found a family and I wish this could've happened to you."

You start to attack him and Laufey again. Cepheus was frozen onto the ground and Laufey was hanging in the air.

-Y/n: "I appreciate that you showed me this room and my past, I really do, but you're just an asshole and don't deserve to live."

You throw him against a wall and he falls on the ground. But just to be sure you let a ice crystal fall right onto him and it slides through his body. Blood was coming out of his mouth and that assured you he is dead. You got back to Cepheus.

-Y/n: "You know, there was a time where I would've done everything for you, but you were just so focused on causing another war that you never noticed it."
-Cepheus: "You know I was doing this behind your back?"
-Y/n: "Of course I did, I'm not stupid. But when you poisoned me and cursed me I lost the hope to make you a better man."
-Cepheus: "So you're killing me?"
-Y/n: "Not yet. You have to undo the curse and then I'll kill you."
-Cepheus: "What do I have of it?"
-Y/n: "I know you cursed yourself with it, so if you find me again and kill me you finally got rid of me."
-Cepheus: "That's fair."

You unfroze his body and he leads you to the table. It began to glow as usual. Cepheus is destroying the table and out of it comes a blue magic ball. He throws it to me and suddenly all memories, good and bad, came back to you. You fade for a short moment, but when you woke up you saw Cepheus running away. Of course you ran after him and caught him.

-Y/n: "See you in the next life."

You create another ice crystal and slide it through him. He looks you in the eyes and out of his mouth came blood too. You know that he's still alive, but not for long. You let him suffer on this way and it brings you a bit of joy to give him a bit of the pain you had to go through because of him.

You watched him slowly dying and when you couldn't hear Cepheus heartbeat anymore you left this cave. You destroy this whole room by letting the roof come down. Then you ran back to Loki who was still fighting.

-Loki: "Are you okay?", he sees your wound.
-Y/n: "Never been better.", you smile and start to fight side by side with him.

Finally the Avengers came and helped you fight everyone. When just a few frost giants were left, you stopped and they gave up.

-Loki: "You did it.", Peter runs towards you and hugged you.
-Y/n: "ouch.", he directly stopped to hug you.
-Peter: "What happened!? You have to go to a doctor."
-Y/n: "Peter... hey... babe.", he finally pays attention to you, "I'm fine.", you smile at him.
-Loki: "Babe?", he asks you.
-Y/n: "Well, you have a lot to catch up."
-Loki: "Thank you, thank you all.", he turned to the Avengers.
-Steve: "Don't thank us, it was Y/n's idea.", Loki turned back to you.
-Loki: "Why?"
-Y/n: "I owed you something, but now I have to ask you for a favour again."
-Loki: "What is it?"
-Y/n: "Rule Jotunheim, rightful King."
-Loki: "I- I can't. I'll screw up again, just as I always do."
-Y/n: "I know you won't, brother.", everyone was looking at you shocked.
-Thor: "Wait- are you another sister father didn't tell us about?", he sounded kinda excited.

You explained everything to them and they listened very carefully again.

-Tony: "Does that mean you're not my daughter?", he was kinda disappointed.
-Y/n: "No, I am your daughter, but my family is just a bit bigger than yours.", you smiled at him and turned back to Loki, "Loki, prince of Asgard, Odinson, rightful king of the Jotunheim, god of mischief, will you accept your birthright?"
-Loki: "With great pleasure.", he smiled at you.

Loki's old sceptre appeared in your hand and in your other one his helmet with the horns. You give him the sceptre and put him his helmet on. After that you hugged him and went back to the avengers.

-Loki: "I can't promise you to do the right thing or to keep peace, but I'll try my best."
-Y/n: "I don't have any expectations.", you smiled and he laughed.

Then you said goodbye and you and the Avengers went back to the portal.

-Tony: "But you're not going to blow this thing up again, right?", he said as soon as you stepped through this portal again.
-Y/n: "No, I will just move it to a better place.", you said while laughing.

Everyone was going inside, because you were exhausted. Dr. Stephen Strange was already waiting inside, because Tony must've called him before you went to Jotunheim. Strange cared about your wound, but you got away very luckily with it.
