Chapter 45 - your birthday

Some weeks have passed now and today is your birthday. For one year you know these people already. You have no intention of telling them that today is your birthday and you don't expect anyone to know that.

The day started normal. You had school, in the break you were with MJ, Peter and Ned and when school was over you trained with Steve. Peter was at his aunts place again, which you got to meet too. You think she is such a nice person and Peter told you that she likes you a lot too.

-Steve: "Time goes so fast, you're here for one year already."
-Y/n: "Yes, one year ago I was laying outside this building in rain."
-Steve: "Your Start wasn't good, but that's all in the past now."
-Y/n: "Yeah I know and do you know what? One year ago I met Peter for the first time.", you said with a smile on your lips.
-Steve: "I'm glad that everything is good between the two of you."
-Y/n: "Well, it is more or less."
-Steve: "What is it?", he asked with a smile on his face because he thought that the problems you have are not really important.
-Y/n: "I still haven't told him those three words. He sometimes says it but not as often as at the beginning because he noticed that I never said it back. I feel guilty."
-Steve: "Have you tried it?"
-Y/n: "Yes of course, but it still feels wrong somehow and I hate this."
-Steve: "You'll be able to say it soon enough. Your relationship is not that long and maybe you just need time, that nothing to feel guilty about."

You trained for a bit and then Pepper came inside the room.

-Pepper: "I hope I'm not interrupting something."
-Y/n: "No it's fine, is something wrong?", you and Steve stopped to fight.
-Pepper: "No don't worry everything is fine, I just wanted to let you know that Tony invited us to one of his special dinners he sometimes has."
-Y/n: "Do I have to attend?"
-Pepper: "Of course not, but some very important people wanted to finally meet you and I promise you it will not be boring."
-Steve: "Yes, go to that dinner, maybe it will distract you."
-Y/n: "Ok fine I'm coming.", Pepper smiled and walked away.
-Steve: "We should stop now, so that you can take a shower and prepare yourself."
-Y/n: "Yes you're right, thank you and see you tomorrow."

You walked out of the room and did as Steve said. You took a really long shower with very loud music, because you had plenty of time. After that you walked outside and saw that someone placed a present onto your bed. When you opened it you saw a dress. This must be from Tony for the dinner.

You dressed yourself and it fitted perfectly. Then you tried to do your make up as good as you possibly can. Which means you out mascara on, made a simple and small eyeliner and out on some violet (matching with the dress) lipstick.

After a while someone knocked at your door. You screamed come in and Pepper stepped inside. She wore a elegant, red dress and it's just perfect for her.

-Pepper: "Are you ready?"
-Y/n: "Yeah, what do you think?", you stood up from your make up table and Pepper just watched you with an open mouth.
-Pepper: "You look amazing!"
-Y/n: "Thank you, the dress is I think from Tony, because I had a present on my bed and this was inside."
-Pepper: "From Tony? I don't know anything about this.", she looked confused.
-Y/n: "Then maybe someone else put it there, doesn't matter know I'll ask them later, but now we have to go."
-Pepper: "Yes, right. Come on."

She put her hands on your shoulder and it was really weird because it didn't seem like you're about to have dinner with some important people. Pepper lead you into a big party room which was completely empty.

-Pepper: "Oh, uh just wait here. They usually should be here."

She said and walked out of the room. You just walked into it and looked around. It had a great view and it was decorated so nicely.

-All: "Happy Birthday!!", suddenly everyone you know comes out of a secret door and you were so scared for a moment.
-Y/n: "How do you know?", you asked as soon as you caught yourself again.
-Tony: "We found the place where they kept you and I got your files."
-Steve: "Why haven't you told us?"
-Y/n: "Oh you know it's not important and I never celebrated my birthday."
-Tony: "Well, that's gonna change from now on. Let's party!"

The room filled up and everyone walked past you and said happy birthday.

-Peter: "Happy birthday. I shouldn't give you this now, but I don't want to wait until later.", he gave you a little box.
-Y/n: "Peter, you didn't have to do that."
-Peter: "I know, just open it."

You unwrapped the present and opened the box. Inside it was a spider necklace. The body from the spider is formed as a heart.

-Y/n: "Wow, it is so beautiful."
-Peter: "You want to wear it?"

You nodded and Peter took the necklace and put it around your neck.

-Peter: "I love you, Y/n."
-Y/n: "I, uh-", Peter interrupted you.
-Peter: "It's okay, you don't have to say it back. Maybe you need some time and I give you all the time you need. I just want you to know that I love you."

You smiled relieved and gave him a kiss on the lips. Then you two walked to the others who where sitting on a couch, drinking and having fun. You sat down on the coach too.

After a while everyone was a little bit drunk, except for you and Peter. You were the two children and not allowed to drink even one drop. Now they tried to lift Thor's hammer and everyone who tried failed on it. While everyone was concentrating to lift the hammer you noticed something weird in the background.

-Y/n: "Uh, guys I'll just go to the toilet. Don't wait for me.", is your excuse.
-Thor: "You just think that you're not worthy.", he said, teasing you.
-Y/n: "We will see when I come back.", you winked and left the room.

The whole house was quiet, because literally everyone was in that room. You didn't know where you're heading, you just followed your feelings. Then suddenly someone covered your mouth and pushed you against the wall.

but I have plenty ideas for my new story and I'm very excited to write it.
