Chapter 42 - Awkward Truth

— Your POV —

You and Peter leave the room and went to the dining room, where Natasha, Steve and Wanda already were. You two made yourselves breakfast and sat down.

-Natasha: "Had fun last night?", she asked out of the sudden. You almost chocked on your breakfast.
-Y/n: "What do you mean?", you said when you were able to again.
-Natasha: "The school dance or is there something I might want to know?", she got suspicious.
-Y/n: "Nope nothing else and the school dance was amazing."
-Peter: "Yeah it was a lot of fun."
-Wanda: "Something tells me that they're not really talking about the school dance.", you started to blush.
-Natasha: "You're right. I'm so happy for you two."
-Steve: "I hope you used protection."
-Y/n: "Stop it, please and don't tell Tony.", you could feel how your cheeks were burning.
-Tony: "What should they not tell me?", he came into the room.
-Natasha: "Nothing.", she said, but Tony knows very well that that's not true.
-Tony: "Fine, I'll find it out by myself then.", he grabbed an apple and left the room again.
-Peter: "He is going to kill me."
-Y/n: "Not when I protect you.", you smiled and gave him a kiss on the lips.
-Tony: "Y/n Stark!", he stood behind the door and listened to you.
-Y/n: "It's still Romanov."
-Tony: "Did you fuck my daughter Pete?"
-Peter: "We used protection and I asked her the whole time if it's okay.", he said very quickly and you could see his fear in his face.
-Y/n: "Yeah he did and why would you even care?", Peter gave you an angry look, because you promised him to try to get to know Tony better.
-Tony: "If you hurt her, I'll hurt you.", he tells Peter with a death glare in his eyes.
-Y/n: "We could go to a dinner to get to know each other more.", you forced yourself to say that.
-Tony: "Really? Are you sure about this?"
-Y/n: "Yes, but Peter has to come with us and you could bring Pepper."
-Tony: "Yes, how about tomorrow in the evening?"
-Y/n: "Sounds good.", he leaves the room with a smile on his face.
-Y/n: "Not a word.", you tell the others who where just staring at you, because they couldn't believe that you did that.
-Peter: "I'm proud of you."

He gave you a kiss and you started to eat your breakfast again. When you were done you wanted to train with Steve, because he seemed like the most comfortable person to be around right now, except Peter of course. You love to train with Steve, because he's a good listener and always gives you good advices.

-Steve: "Okay, tell me what is going on?"
-Y/n: "You always know, when something is wrong don't you?", you wanted to distract him from talking about this, because you felt terrible about what happened earlier.
-Steve: "I do, now tell me and stop distracting."
-Y/n: "Urgh, okay. This morning Peter said I love you to me but I just couldn't say it back. It felt just so wrong."
-Steve: "Do you love him?"
-Y/n: "I think so, yeah."
-Steve: "Tell me what exactly you love about him."
-Y/n: "He cares about me, even if I tell him no to. He makes me laugh all the time, he looks so gorgeous..."
-Steve: "But he doesn't make you feel like Loki did."
-Y/n: "What? No. Why are we talking about Loki?", you got somehow nervous.
-Steve: "Oh come on, your reaction just told me everything."
-Y/n: "Loki, urgh, he hurt me and we were just friends."
-Steve: "But you wanted more?", he asked carefully because he wasn't quite sure.
-Y/n: "I don't know. I think I was open for trying, but it never came to that point."
-Steve: "I know that Loki wouldn't have been the right choice for you, so be happy that he's gone and that he didn't hurt you more than necessary. Talk with Peter about this, I'm sure he'll be okay with it and he will try to make you forget."
-Y/n: "Yeah, I don't have another option, but I'll keep that to myself at least until tomorrow. I don't wanna ruin the dinner with Tony."
-Steve: "About that. Why did you do that? We all know that you're not really a fan of him."
-Y/n: "I promised Peter to try to get to know Tony better.", you rolled your eyes, because you still didn't want to do that.
-Steve: "Even if you don't want to do this, it's the right decision."
-Y/n: "I know."

After you trained for a bit you just enjoyed the day by going for a walk to think about this situation you have with Peter. While you were walking down the streets you saw Flash on the other side hiding from you. It made you smile. At the evening you asked Pepper which restaurant you're going to, to choose which outfit you're going to wear and then you got ready.
