Bring Back Memories

As River ran through the forest all the memories she has been missing from James up until now.

Everytime she was near death only one voice called out to her. Thalia. She remembered her and Clara's conversation but she didn't remember saying those words. She realized Thalia was from dead, used her body to communicate with Clara.

She remembered being tossed around by James, every single moment. She remembered all the pain he put her through. She then remembered what they talked about.

How long must she endure this kind of pain. She then remember Clara's words about her happiness, her peace. Clara's words rang through her head fueling her with anger. She ran on fours. She growled before howled to lunar eclipse before it disappeared to a normal moon.

Logan snapped his head to the direction of the howling,"that's her."

"How do you know?" Senna asked.

"I just do. Let's go." Logan said before he walked off.

Katherine nodded as they followed Logan to he direction of the howl. Soon after morning came.

River struggled to open her eyelids only to end up closing them when she winced in pain. She wrapped her arms around her naked body as the sudden cold breeze pass through her body.

With every move she made the ground beneath her crumbled, soon she gave up and just laid there waiting for death to take her. She had no strength in her. It was getting harder to breath.

"Open your eyes, River. " a voice said.

River tried but struggled to open her mouth and respond, "I...I.....a...cant..t.." she shivered.

"Open them, River and call out for help." Thalia ordered.

With all of her might and little strength left she opened her eyes. Her white, all her surroundings where covered in snow and she immediately knew she was in Alaska.

"That's right keep them open. Help will arrive soon."

River wanted to ask the voice who she was but words couldn't find their out her mouth. Deep inside she knew it was Thalia trying to keep alive as she has done before.

"River! River! "Multiple voices called out her name.

"He..lp." River managed to whisper just under her breath.

"Logan! Katherine. She's here." Elu's voice said.

"River." Two voices called out to her.

Warm familiar hands that belonged to Logan carefully caressed her cheeks until they reached her hair. He took a stray of hair and looked at it confusion,"your hair." He said surprised as looked at River to katherine and rest of the gang.

River tried to turn her head carefully so she could see her hair. Her eyes widen it was pure white. She looked at Logan silently asking what happened to her hair.

"Senna." Katherine called. An unfamiliar woman threw an animal blanket around her.

Logan carefully adjusted it to wrapped around River and tried to lift her up.

River suddenly cried out in agonizing pain,"ah...ah."

Logan gently placed her back down before he could cause any further damage,"shush..." he cooed,"I know it's hurt but please bare with me. Okay." He said as he caressed her cheek,"shush. "

"No, it hurts." River cried in pain. It was if every single bone in her body was broken.

"Her bones. Their still recovering." Katherine said.

"We can't leave her here. She'll die." Logan said.

Elu fiddled with her fingers before she spoke nervously, " we need to distract her. Put to sleep."

Katherine thought for a while,"Zafrina. Can you put her into a deep sleep?"

Zafrina doesn't say anything and just nodded.

"Hey." Logan tried to smile to comfort River,"I need you to relax as much as possible okay?"

River gave him one single nodded before Logan got up and moved away. A dark skin girl replaced Logan's previous place.

"Look into my eyes." Zafrina said.

River looked deep into her eyes and she felt her pain leaving her and her eyes dropped,"we should be quick. It's not going to last long."

Logan stared out ahead his mind occupied by the two important women in his entire life. One was dead. The other one was near death. He felt frustrated in himself. He couldn't protect them both. He lost the first one, now he might lose another.

"I lost you once and I can't lose you again. I don't think I can take this anymore. Not time around second time. " Logan's voice broke,"if you can hear me. Help River. Save her." He begged.

Logan's teary eyes widen when he felt a gentle, warm hand suddenly touch his shoulder,"mom." He thought.

"She'll be fine." Katherine's voice said from behind him.

Logan sighed in disappointment cause she wasn't the person he was expecting but relieved River was going to be okay.

"Elu managed to get most of the poison out. Her physical wounds are almost healed up." Katherine said.

"You don't sound too relief about." Logan said a little worried.

"No I am. Physical wounds can heal but the mind and soul are another thing. I'm worried about her mental state. What Clara did....she tortured her.." Katherine's voice broke,"and her being the white wolf. It won't be easy."

"If I know River as well as I think I do. She's strong. She'll pull through. And we'll be here for her and help her in anyway possible." Logan said with in his voice and heart.
