"Yes. My aunt is a terrible cook so I had to cook if I wanted both of us to survive." Logan explained,"it's seems like all we ever do is talk about me. What about you?"
"What about me?" River bite her sandwich.
"You know, family."
".....It's complicated." River huffed as she looked down.
"I'm sure I can keep up." Logan said.
River smiled sadly,"I was adopted by my uncle and his wife after my mother left. They took me in and raised me along with other 'adoptive' children."
"Vampires?" He asked.
River nodded,"yes." River smiled,"I was happy. To me they were my real family, real parents and real siblings. I never needed someone or anything else."
"What about now?" Logan asked.
"Now, I'm not so sure. I've icelated myself from the world and I never knew what was our there. Now that I'm out, everything is changing. It has it's highs and lows. I'm barely keeping it together." River admitted,"and now I have no one but myself to rely on, I'm all alone. I'm looking for my birth mother who seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth. There is more to her story than I realised. " River said regretful,"and I feel bad for never trying to know about her. Now it's seems I might never get the chance."
"You're not alone. I'm here, ain't I?"
River smirked,"I appreciate the offer. It doesn't change you're still a stranger I met a few times."
"I don't think so. You wouldn't have told me everything you just said if you didn't trust me or consider me a friend."
"Whatever you say." River said before she took a sip of her drink.
"What about your father?"
"I found my biological father when I moved from Alaska to Forks. He's human. So he doesn't know anything about the supernatural world I live in." River said sadly," He didn't know Katherine was pregnant." River said.
Logan's eyes widen,"Katherine. Katherine Cecilia Cullen is your mother?"
"Yes." River frowned,"how do you know her?"
"She's my aunt's friend. Seen her a few times...yeeeaaarrs.. ago."
"Where is your aunt now?"
"I don't know. I haven't seen her for a long while." Logan said.
"Is it possible she with her? my mother I mean." River said hopefully.
"It's possible." Logan hesitantly said.
"I need to find her." River said desperately.
"Let me help you."
"I think I should do this alone." River said gently not wanting a person she barely know to risk his life trying to help her. Logan did look like a human, she didn't want him getting hurt.
