TIP: Eclipses

Cold Night

Night came and the temperatures completely dropped. A blizzard was blowing hard outside their tents.

Unlike the other supernatural creatures Bella couldn't keep herself warm or stop her teeth from chattering.

Edward looked at her hopelessly,"I should have chosen a site lower down."

"No, it fine." Bella said through her shuttling teeth.

"Just tell me what I can do." He said feeling guilty.

"I can't sleep with all teeth chattering going on." Jacob said crawling into the tent. He looked at Bella with concern.

"Forget it." Edward spoke.

"She may need her toes some day and let's face it I'm hotter than you." Jacob said as he got closer to Bella's bed, Edward grabbed his shoulder,"get your hand of me."

"Get your hands off her." Edward said through his teeth in anger.

"Don't fight." Bella desperately whispered loudly enough for the both of them to hear.

"If she gets sick its on you." Jacob said.

Edward looked at Bella frowning before nodding. Jacob got in Bella's bed," you're freezing, Bella. Relax you're warm up soon." Jacob deciding to push it,"faster if you take your clothes off."

"Jake."Bella warned.

"It survival 101." Jacob got comfortable as he looks at Edward.

After a while Bella fell asleep.

"Can you at least attempt to control your thoughts." Edward said angrily through his teeth.

"I really get under that ice cold skin of yours, don't I?" Jacob says,"what? Are doubting her feelings for you. Nice." He says sarcastically,"stop picking through my brains and let in yours. Look I know she's in love with you."

"Good."

"But she's also in love with me."

He looks back at Edward,"if she chooses me."

"She won't cause you didn't imprint on, you're just going to hurt when find your imprint." Edward said sounding convinced.

Jacob scoffed,"you sound like River."

"Than River is right. If she chooses you, you will end up hurting. I should you."

"Cause you found Bella was your mate? And not River."

"I hate myself everyday for causing her pain."

"Sometime after you broke up she wanted to kill herself."

Edward snapped his eyes to him,"what?"

"Yeah. I saw that look, it was...unsettling. It got better but now I see the look again and she's trying hard to hide but once you've seen it and won't miss it ever again." Jacob said remembering when River was standing over the edge of cliff, crying, ready to end her life,"but I'm not like you, I would never hurt Bella like you hurt River."

"You wouldn't be able to help it." Edward said.

"If she did would you try to kill me?"

"That's an intriguing idea." Edward said evilly as he chuckles,"but no I couldn't hurt her like that."

"So you're just trying to turn her into a blood sucking demon like you?"

"I don't want that. I never wanted that."

"So stop her."

"I tried. I left."

"But you gave up too quickly. If you stayed away for another six months. I could've made her happy. Trust me. You must consider I might be better for her than you."
