As River walked she could feel the anger boiling with her.

She decided to give Logan a night call,"hey. It's the third time to day. Do you miss me that badly?"

River rolled her eyes with amusement,"shut up." She said before she sighed sitting on steps outside the porch.

"What is it?" Logan asked gently sensing the distress in her voice.

"Nothing. I just need you here." River said sighed.

"I'll be there as soon as I can." Logan said,"tell me what happened?"

"This more than me. More than I can handle. There is this heavy burden on my shoulders and I can't seem to shake it off. The lying, the secretary. Its overwhelming. " River said in blink of tears,"the fact that I can't seem to avoid near death situations."

"What do you mean near death situations?" Logan asked seriously,"River! What happened? Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

"No. I'm okay. It's my sister. A raging psycho is trying to kill her and she'll go through the length to hurt her and Edward."

"You're saying she might hurt you to get to them."

"Yeah." River looked up as she tried to hold her tears,"I'm tired, Logan."

"Hey, hey. Everything is going to be alright. You know why because I'm here. I won't let anything hurt you. You know that right."

"Yeah." River nodded as if he can see her.

Logan didn't know what to say in a situation like this. If he was near her, he would hold her tightly in his arms and let her cry until she calmed down

"Don't do this to yourself. You're stronger than this."

"I'm tired of being strong. I want my life back."

"I know." Logan said.

"River." A voice said from behind River.

She looked over her shoulder and saw Edward. She quickly wiped her fallen tears,"sorry I have to go. I'll see you soon." She said to the phone.

"Okay. Remember what I said. You'll get through this."

"Yeah sure. Bye." She said hanging up. She cleared her throat,"what can I do for you Edward?" She said not daring to look at him.

Unfortunately he sits on the stairs beside her, " you looked upset when you left. I just wanted to make sure you were okay."

"I'm fine. Just a little emotional from seeing everyone again after so long." River lied.

"River...You know I could always tell when you're lying. Like that time you broke Esme's vase. You denied it as soon as it happened. " Edward chuckled while River smiled at the memory.

"You didn't say anything until I confessed." River smiled as she finally looked at Edward.

"What's bothering you?" He asked again with the most gentle, warm tone.

River looked into his eyes as they compelled her to tell him everything. She would have if she didn't turn away from him,"it's complicated. You wouldn't understand. "

"Try me."

She looked at his sharp, cold features,"these last couple of months have difficult. Lot of things happened including you leaving."

"What else is there?"

"Restless nights, loss memories, change. The truth." River said before she looked away,"the slightest happiness I found was ripped away from me. My very existence is not even my own."

Edward frowned getting more confused as she spoke,"what's going on River. What memories? What change? Existence.... What are you talking about?"

""The big plan" she said." River tucked her hands in her jacket,"I don't even know what's happening in my life right now. It's that messed up."

"Doesn't it have something to do with you?" Edward asked trying yo find understanding in her words.

It was killing him not knowing what was going through River's heart and mind. It was suffocating him to know River was in pain and he couldn't offer proper comfort because he didn't know the whole story.

"You and Bella look happy." River changed the subject,"I'm happy you're both happy." She said.

Edward doesn't say anything to that but getting that she didn't want to talk about it, so he decided not to push and wait for her to come to him, whenever she was ready to talk,"so how are things with college hunting?" He asked also shifting the subject.

River smirked as she thought of hunting,"Things have been.....adventurous..." River answered.

"Is Harvard still your dream school? Did they accept you?"

River smiled,"yeah, I got in."

"Congratulations." Edward said excitedly.

"but there is possibility that plan might change."

Edward frowned confused,"why? Harvard has been your dream since...forever. If not Harvard than where?"

"Europe. Oxford university."

Edward's eyes widen, "What? Why so far? In a whole different continent. "

"I've been living there for the past two months, I guess you can say I've grown attached to it."

"So that's where you got your British accent. "

River playfully glared at Edward before she snickered,"I don't know what's you're talking about." She said trying really hard to suppress her smile.

Edward chuckled, feeling the warmth inside of him each time she saw her smile at him. He clearly his throat after a while,"Does Charlie know about this?"

"No, but I'm planning on telling him soon, after I've decided." River said.

"Is there another reason for sudden departure."

"Maybe. I did meet somebody." River slightly blushed as she thought of Logan.

"He must be special if you're willing leave everything behind to be with him." Edward said slight more disappointed than what he was letting on.

"He is."

"He's a lucky guy."

"No, I'm the lucky one." River said with proud smile. As if realizing she was speaking to Edward, her ex-boyfriend about another guy. She thought was okay they both someone for they're lives."I should be on my way. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Yeah, see you tomorrow."

River straddled her bike and held her helmet as she stared at Edward,"it was nice seeing you again Edward."

"Same here." He said.

River gave him a tight smile before she put on her helmet. She started her bike and drove away.

Edward stood there watching her leave his life once again. He sighed before he slowly made his way back to the house.
