Graduation Part II

She took out her phone and dialed Logan's number,"so how did it go?"

"Pretty well. I feel good about it. There were embarrassing moments." River said giggling like a child as she remembered herself stumbling to the stage.

"Those are the greatest parts. See. I knew you could do it." Logan said proudly.

"Yeah, I just wish you were here." River said looking around.

"Me too. I'm sure we'll see each other soon. Pretty soon actually. Maybe tomorrow night."

"Really?" River said excitedly before composed herself,"oh."

Logan chuckled,"yeah, so I'll see you soon."

"See...ya..." Someone interrupted River.

"River." Charlie called her.

"I gonna go. Bye."

"Bye." Logan said before he hung up.

"Both my girls just graduated. " Charlie said being emotionally. He pulled River into a hug.

"Dad." River laughed and she hugged Charlie.

"Im glad you managed to join us." Charlie said,"I was worried for a sec."
 
"Yeah, told you I'll be. I just over slept." River said tapping her old man's back.

"I should take a pictures of my girls in their graduation." Charlie said,"Bella." He called Bella who was talking to her friends.

Bella excused herself to join her dad and her little sister,"what up?" Bella asked.

"I need a picture with you two." Charlie said.

Charlie took a few pictures,"I'm so proud of you both. I can't wait to see what you do next. You're both my biggest accomplishment."

"We should send them to your mom." Charlie said talking to Bella going through the pictures.

"River." Alice's voice chirped.

River turned around to be greeted by an embrace from Alice,"hey." She said awkwardly in an uncomfortable embrace, slowly letting go. She hoped she didn't notice.

"Congratulations River." Esme said with a proud smile, she hesitated about her actions.

"We're proud of you." Carlisle wrapping his arm around his wife.

"Thanks." River nodded with a small smile. She didn't know how to act around them anymore.

"Where have you been?" Alice attacked as she stood in front of her with her arms folded across her chest,"what did you do with your hair?"

As cool as white hair is, she missed her dark hair. Unusual it is came with an unwanted attention.

"Wow!" River backed away,"I've been here and there. You know places." River not being specific trying to avoid having to explain everything to them,"and the hair I decided I change it." She lied.

She nodded,"Where exactly I couldn't see you." Alice asked.

"Alice it a really long story that I don't feel like talking about it now." River frowned as she said.

"That doesn't matter now." Carlisle said with a smile, stopping Alice from asking more questions.

"We are just glad you're back." Esme said smiling at her.

River smiled back,"where is Rose and Emmy?" River asked looking around.

"Honeymoon retreat." Alice answered, eyeing River suspiciously.

"Oh. Forgot about those." River said.

"They should be back by tomorrow. Earlier once they know you're back in town." Alice said.

"We have to go so we can set up for the party." Alice said.

"What party?" River asked confused.

"Graduation party." Esme answered.

"We invited the whole school." Alice squirrels happy.

River's brow furrowed,"everyone here? Everyone?" River asked and Alice just nodded,"well good luck with that." River said backing away slowly.

She knew Alice will talk her into going, dressing up, make up and she wasn't in the mood to be around many people.

"Where do you think your going?" Alice asked.

"I got a thing..." River said as she cringed.

"Your 17. What do you got to do?" Alice said not looking for answer.

"Exactly. " River said leaving everyone confused.

"River. Please it first time getting together after while and I want to spend time with my sister." Alice pleaded giving River the puppy eyes.

"Arg." River groaned,"fine but no dress ups." She said.

"Promise." Alice said,"your outfit though."

"Alice." River warned.

Everyone else smiled while Jasper avoided River's eyes.

"You're riding with us right?" Alice asked,"Bella. We're ready to go." Alice said

"No. I have my ride." River said pointing behind her,"I'll met you there." River said.

"Okay, we'll see you there." Alice said before she walked away with rest of them.

Jasper stayed behind still not meeting River's eyes,"I wanted to say I'm so...."

Before Jasper could finished, River stood on her tippy toes and threw her arms around his neck,"you have nothing to be apologies for. I never blamed you for what happened. I'm just disappointed that you left after."

"I understand. " He whispered.

Out of all the Cullen Jasper was the one she secretly missed a little more than the others. Seeing him now she realised she missed him a lot than she thought.

During her hardest times Jasper was the one who understood her more than anyone. Even though she pushed everyone away Jasper tried to improve her mood.

Jasper wrapped his arms around her back,"we meant well." He said as they pulled apart.

"I know but it doesn't change how you feel about you guys." River said sadly,"I'll see you at the house."
