"Hey." River said as joined Jasper, Edward, Bella and Jacob in the opening.
"Hey." They responded.
Jasper nodded,"thank you for joining us River." Jasper said.
Jacob and River faces Bella and Edward in the center of the field. Jasper stands several paces behind Edward.
"You're not fighting? What, you pull a muscle or something?" Jacob asked uninterested.
"He's doing it for me. Okay?" Bella said.
Jacob looked at her, at Edward, shook his head with disdain,"Whatever. Just tell me the plan."
Jasper steps forward slightly. "This field will give us an advantage in battle. We need to lure the newborns with Bella's scent. It needs to end here." Jasper explained.
"Edward and I are going to the campsite. Even if he carries me they will still pick up on my scent." Bella explained.
"Your stench however is revolting." Edward said with hate.
"You really don't want to start comparing stenches."
"What he mean is your scent will mask mine if you carry me."
"Okay done." Jacob agreed.
"This is not a good idea." Edward said.
"They won't want to go anyway near his, adore." Jasper torments.
"Jasper." River warned before things could escalate.
"What about River?" Jacob asked,"do I have to carry her too."
"No, I can hide my own stench." River said.
"How?" Jasper asked.
"With this." River lifted her necklace.
"What's that?"
"Its an old necklace."
"I've seen that before." Bella said eyeing the necklace.
River frowned,"where? Have you been in my room?"
"No. I think nana had that kind of necklace."
"Nana?" River unsure.
"Yeah our grandmother. Charlie's mom. She passed a long time when I was really young." Bella explained.
"What did she say it was for?"
"I don't know, all I know she never took it off." Bella added.
"Does that mean something to you?" Edward asked.
"Yeah." River answered," Charlie has her pictures, right."
"Yeah, I think they're in the attic." Bella said.
River nodded to Jasper to continue.
"River will stay behind to cover as much tracks as she can." Jasper said.
"Okay let's just try it." Bella goes to stand in front of Jacob.
Jacob lifted her up bridal style,"one wolf coming up." He said.
"Run." Edward ordered.
