River get on her bike and ride it to clearing. When she came to a stop the rest of the Cullens were already there.
"Hey, sorry. I'm late." River said with huge grin as she took off her helmet.
"River, is that really you?" Rosalie asked as slowly walked closer to her.
"Its me Rose." River smiled sweetly at her.
If she could cry right now, she would as she ran to her and embraced her. Rosalie held her tightly towards her, kissed the side of her head. She pulled her away to take her in as she cupped her cheeks,"I will never leave you again, you hear."
River's eyes swelled up in tears,"I hear you." Her heartache for some reason.
"Now what happened to your hair?" Rosalie asked as she saw River's white hair.
"I'll tell you later." She said awkwardly as she turned to Emmett who was behind Rosalie.
"Rivers." Emmett said hesitantly.
River threw her arms around him,"Emmy bear." She said with wide smile.
Emmett wrapped his arms around her and pressed his cheek on her head,"thank you." He whispered.
River pulled away to look at Emmett with a frown,"for what?"
"For not hating us."
River swallowed hard,"don't take this the wrong way but I'm still haven't completely forgiven all of you for what you did. Truthfully I still have some resentment about before you left." She saw how every Cullen's face dropped into a sad frown," but I want to move past that. I want my family back to the way it use to be." She said with tears as she looked at the Cullens,"plus life is too short to hold grudges forever."
"Hey." Esme said with a smile she came to stand beside to her," We're sorry and we promise to never leave you again. "
"I don't want to apologize but I want you to be my family. I want to be a part of all of you."
"You are. You never stopped beginning a part of us." Carlisle said holding her in fatherly embrace.
River let a few tears as a little weight was lifted from her shoulders making feel a little lighter,"thank you." She whispered. She pulled back to look at her family with a smile.
Alice and Jasper stood not too far with fulfilling and satisfied looks and smiles. She caught Edward's eyes, they still held so much sadness and guilt in them. River smiled and nodded at him to let him know she and him were okay and it was not his fault. He smirked as he felt relief but not completely relieved of the sadness and guilt.
