Episode 14 - Ain't No Sunshine

Brazil is a tropical country, so summer days of December were like a scorching hell, especially in the city of Rio, where the IBI, that team Luminary is based, resides in. Delph and Jade were patrolling together the busy streets, but all they could do was envy the civilians at the beach.

Delph was quiet, but Jade was trying to break the ice and talk to him, like creating her superhero name, something like Smeargle or Krystallus, which Delph just shrugged off.

Jade: how about "Dolor de aceite"? It means Oil pain

Delph actually liked that name, but was trying really hard to keep looking tough.

Jade: You haven't changed a bit Delph.

She laughs

Jade: Still the tough, but soft hearted, man I remember.

He blushes and tries to hide his face, but they keep walking, unknowingly being watched by Nana and Luiz from the top of a building.

Luiz was using a binocular to keep watch while Nana was walking in circles.

Nana: You know, I could have done this job by myself, I didn't really need your help.

Luiz just sighed in frustration.

Luiz: Ya know, I'm already doing everything on my own anyway. You can just fly to Ecuador and help Paris, Lara and Sora.

Nana: And give you the satisfaction of telling Leo that you did everything?

Luiz: I already AM doing everything anyway. You're just complaining.

Down below a bank robbery was taking place, normally Luiz and Nana would intervene, but Delph and Jade got to the crime scene first.

Jade: didn't your mothers teach you it's wrong to steal

She went to grab her brown and orange to paint a rope to tie up the Robbers

Jade: Huh.. no no no ¿¡Dónde está!? (where is it)

Delph rolled his eyes and summoned his Techno-magic assets, mostly his virtual illusion keyboard and started to press keys making electric beams that started to shoot in most of the bandits that retaliated by starting to shoot at them, forcing the duo to take cover.

Jade looked sad and embarrassed

Jade: Ah! there is it!

She looks happy, pulling out the right colors and gets to painting

Jade: ¡Ay Ay Ay! I guess this has to do.

She had put too much orange and in her rush she didn't spread and shaded it properly, so the picture started to peel off the floor and it started moving as it turned into a snake.

Jade: no no no no! this was supposed to be a rope! not a snake!

Delph: Umm, not wanting to be a dick, but... THEY ARE SHOOTING AT US!

Jade: I see that!!

She goes to paint a steel barrier and, because she did right this time, the Painting peels off and stands in front of them blocking the bullets.

Nana: Should we intervene?

Luiz: Nah, they are doing fine.

Jade: think think think think... Ah!

She pulls out a sketch pad draws a tranquilizer gun then paints it in

Jade: What color are Tranquilizers made of again??
