Episode 56 - The Guardian of Passion Pt 2

Paris and Gibil finally stop fighting as the pupil finally learns the guardian skill.

Gibil: "Ignited Passion" it's a passive like ability that summons fire on every attack you do, be it physical or magical. It serves like a "bonus flavor". It's a highly offensive skill, primarily used for attacking with its disintegration characteristic.


Paris: So it just makes my powers more volatile and dangerous. Also it enhances my special moves.

Gibil: Pretty much. It can also minimize the effect of other attacks enhanced by guardian skills. However it only lasts up to 30 minutes.

Paris: Got it!

Gibil looks away.

Gibil: Just... Be careful, alright? We are always at the heart of the attack, which means we are also the most exposed. Such is the fate of passion guardians.

Paris: Awwwwnnn, If I didn't know you, I would almost think that you care.

Gibil: W-What?! I'm just advising you, dumbass!

Meanwhile on Fateful's team room, Fenyx was in the office, speaking with hail.

Fenyx: I'm telling ya, boss, Luminary might have snatched the first victories, but tonight is our turnaround.

Hail: Is that so?

Fenyx: Of course! You picked me for a reason, after all.

Hail takes a sip of her tea and sighs.

Hail: I didn't pick anyone just for your strengths. All Guardians serve a role, that's the most important part.

Fenyx: So that you don't get angry when we lose?

Hail: It's a competition, losing is part of it.

She takes another sip of her tea.

Hail: If Luminary wins, I'll accept my defeat and admit I was wrong.

Fenyx: You never did such a thing...

Hail: One more reason for you to win. I want at least a draw so I can fight and be done with this.

Fenyx: Of course, that's why I'll win.

Hail: Good, because if you don't, only a tie will save us.

Fenyx: Only that?

Hail: I am strong, I won't lose.

Fenyx: I wouldn't underestimate their Harmony guardian though...

On that night, the arena was getting filled with spectators, many were Paris' fans, but differently from past battles, the roof of the arena was opened, showing the clear night sky getting covered by fireworks.

When Luminary arrived, Luiz was already on the team's bench with a devastated look on his face.

Hanji: Hey, are you... Wait, don't answer that.

Delph: What's up buddy, training isn't going well?

Luiz: I need to talk to you guys after the battle. It's... important.

Paris came in with Gibil by his side and Luminary obviously couldn't not notice his new horns and tail.

Delph: So... Did you cut your hair?

Paris grins and stretches to show off his horns and tail

Paris: Mmmaaaybe~

Gibil: Don't look at me.
