Episode 22 - Heaven Can Wait(Season 2 Finale)

Paris: MARISIA!

Shouting to confirm if Marisia was alive or not in this situation was the worst thing he could do right now. If that dragon started to move, he'd get to Marisia much faster.

The IBI's guidelines normally recommend that they should obviously abandon Marisia and retreat while preserving their remaining forces.

Paris: As if I could do something like that...

While suppressing anger, shock and fear welling up from within, Paris made his conclusion to just attack without caring for what happened to him.

He will finish Merlin off, once and for all, his own life be damned.

But the others didn't think the same.

White clothes rushed in swiftly like the wind. He didn't show any hint of hesitation despite how he was running into a dark warrior who had just displayed terrifying strength. He rushed forwards straight without wavering while everyone else was frozen from fear and disbelief.

Silver disregarded his own safety and thrust his spear towards Merlin with all the strength he could muster.

Merlin: What the--

Merlin had no time to finish the sentence, he swung his sword lightly with one arm to deflect the spear as if Silver's attack was laughable.

Silver's assumed attacking stance as he held onto his spear, still a bit dizzy from Marlin's single swing.

Still, Merlin had deflected the spear containing the full force of Silver's two arms and broke her stance. Sure, Silver was new, but Paris could tell he was no weakling.

Paris: Silver!! Quickly! To Marisia!!

But Silver didn't back out despite clearly knowing the skill difference between him and the enemy. Silver's white hair waved as he ceaselessly thrust his spear against Merlin's blocks with an enormous display of fighting spirit.

Merlin: You're no good.

Merlin let out a half-amused laugh, then swung his sword to match Silver's attacks as if he was playing with his food. With each blow, each strike that was exchanged, Silver's body got pushed back and you could see him suppressing his pain.

Paris watched this confrontation between spear and sword, then he finally came to his senses. Silver was literally staking his life in order to buy him time to recharge and attack again.

Leo: I'm joining in!

Leo who came running, also realizing the situation right away, and fired a barrage of missiles from his cannon at Merlin. But the evil dragon swung his sword widely to push back Silver and then seamlessly made an exquisite turn to even deflect the missiles that flew in towards him.

Sound of an explosion rang out in mid air. Paris who had been standing frozen also made his decision. This was a battlefield, although he didn't want to involve his teammates in his personal battle, the battle had already started.

Paris: Where's Luiz and Nana?

Leo: They are inside, both completely weakened, especially Nana who is--

Paris: What?! Is she--

Leo: No, she's not dead. Luiz is taking care of her for now.

Paris: Who else came?

Leo: Jade and Sora are preparing walls to prevent the fight from reaching our army who is too scared to fight. Allen is here as well.

Paris: Allen!
