I thought I would make this it's own chapter because I've gotten questions about how the characters identify and what their sexuality is in my story, so that what this chapter is for!
Ana: Ana is woman who's been alive for a while. She's had two beautiful daughters and a lovely life with them. She's seen her fair share beauty and heartbreak in life. Ana is straight and goes by she/her pronouns. She is however, very much an ally for the LGBTQ+ community and would never EVER disown one of her daughters or friends if they were to come out to her.
Hana Morrison: Hana has many wonderful friends who are apart of the LGBTQ+ community and she loves them all just the way they are. While Hana is straight, she is an ally and likes going by she/they pronouns.
Genji: There was an...intense moment in Genji's middle school life when he questioned his sexuality to the max. After some brief soul searching before high school, Genji has determined that he is around the bisexual or pansexual spectrum. But he is still questioning, so he prefers to be called queer if he were to have a specific label. Genji likes to go by he/they pronouns.
Hanzo: When Genji was figuring out his sexuality, Hanzo was honestly kind of denouncing it. He didn't understand for the longest time. He was never particularly nasty to Genji about it, he just felt awkward when it was brought up...and then puberty hit Hanzo like a gay truck. Hanzo remembers reading a booklet his old middle school had in a booklet-cubby in the counselors office about sexual and gender identity. After reading the booklet and doing some of his own research, (and even speaking to Genji a couple times), he concluded that his definitive sexuality was gay. As for pronouns, Hanzo goes by he/him.
Jesse: Ever since Jesse was in elementary school, he knew he was something. But didn't quite figure it out until middle school. It was actually around the same time Hanzo figured out who he was when Jesse discovered himself. At the time, Jesse had been kinda...involved with Ashe, as well as many other girls at his middle school. But they were all flings, nothing serious. Then Jesse started to pay more attention to Hanzo. Jesse knew he definitely liked guys, Hanzo was the clear example for that deduction. As for girls, Jesse honestly would date a nice girl if she shared some common interests with him. Jesse's sexuality is bisexual, and he goes by he/him pronouns.
Lucio: This guy is flamboyant, sure, but Lucio has been through the process of identifying whether or not he is apart of the LGBTQ+ community, many times. But nothing really stuck out to him. Lucio is straight, but he prefer to go by he/they pronouns.
Mei: This woman is a kind, gentle soul, not to mention very attractive. So it's no wonder how a woman of Mei's nature always attracted the nastiest people who always sought to take advantage of her. After being hurt, many and many times, Mei thought of swearing off dating for good. But then she met Alexandra. She was a tough individual who rarely cracked, but Mei saw a softer side and was able to chip through that hard exterior. Mei is a lesbian and goes by she/her pronouns.
Angela: While her siblings may have gone through some identity searches in trying to find the label that best describes them, Angela kind of already knew from a certain age that she was, to put it bluntly, not straight. Angela has dated a few girls before, but never had a lasting relationship with any of them. But she does have her eye out for one special girl...
Angela is a lesbian and goes by she/her pronouns.Moira: She may not look it, but Moira is more supportive of the LGBTQ+ community than it seems. For starters, Moira has has dated quite a few women and men in her time. She even questioned her gender identity when she was younger. But then she had Emily and after a particularly nasty divorce with her ex-husband, Moira made sure to tighten down on rules and tolerances. She's not disapproving of being LGBTQ+, but if Emily were to come out as anything, she would only crack down on more rules to protect her from being hurt. Moira was bisexual in her prime, but after the events regarding her divorce, Moira has grown a distain for any type of romantic relationship with any gender. Her pronouns are she/they.
