Hi everyone! This is not a normal chapter in my story, but rather a basic rundown of Echo in my story and where she fits among everyone else! So let's get into it!
First of all, yes, Echo is Muslim in my story. I decided to go this direction with her character for a few distinct reasons. The first is Echo's character design in the game itself:

When I looked at Echo's model, I noticed how the shape and design of her head reminded me of one of my Muslim friends who wears her hijab in a specific way.
Another reason I made Echo a Muslim character, is because in Overwatch, Echo's creator Mina Liao (who will be her mother in my story), is from Singapore. Singapore is a Muslim Immigration-Friendly country, which I thought fit perfectly with some of Echo's lore from the game.
Now I couldn't find any human fan art of Echo to take inspiration from, but I did make this collage/moodboard that I think sums up Echo's human design and aesthetic pretty well!

Now for Echo's backstory!
Echo lived in the same town where the story takes place years ago, but moved to a different state when her mother parents switched jobs. Her mom is Mina Liao, a scientist and an immigrant from Singapore. Echo's dad is a doctor. Echo and her family moved back to their old hometown when Echo's mom received a promotion and also started to miss living in their old town.
Echo, Jesse, and Ashe were friends from kindergarten up until Echo moved away when the three were both in second grade. Jesse and Echo were the best of friends. As for Ashe, she slowly started growing jealous of Echo and of the many things she was good at, like writing, dancing, drawing, and playing many instruments.
Now let's move on to the more trivial facts.
Name: Echo Liao Age: 18 Grade: Senior Siblings: None Sexuality: Straight Single or taken: Single Interesting facts: Echo is ambidextrous. She is also very flexible.
