(Genji's POV) Day 1 /Continued from Last Chapter\

Jesse and I talked alongside each other as we made our way to our next class, Chinese. When we eventually got there, there was only 3 minutes left of passing period. But looking around the room, we noticed Hanzo and Brigitte sitting together in the back. They soon noticed us and motioned for us to come their way. We walked over to them and sat down. While Jesse and Brigitte were conversing, Hanzo turned to me and smiled. "So, have you decided to join Kendo?" He asked. I scratched the back of my neck and awkwardly looked down. "Um, sorry Hanzo...but I don't want to join. I'm happy in the fencing club." He looked at me confused for a moment. "B-but Genji, I promise you! It's really fun and I'll bet it's even better than fencing!" He tried to negotiate. I shook my head. "Sorry Hanzo. You'll have to find some other people to join. I'm sure you will." I have him a thumbs up. He sighed, just as the bell rang for class to start. Just as the bell finished ringing, the classroom fell quiet as the teacher walked in. Wow, she's pretty young to be a teacher. Beautiful too. The other boys in the classroom were whispering dirty things about her that she seemed to have not heard. She set her things down on her desk and walked to the blackboard. She wrote her name on top of the board and stood under it. She smiled and bowed. "Hello there! My name is Miss Zhou, and I will be your Chinese teacher for the rest of the year!" She said. She had a very warm vibe to her...unlike Miss O'Deorain. Miss Zhou walked to her desk and grabbed her clipboard and pen. "Now then, when I call your name, please say 'here'." She said as she began to call names. I noticed that as every student said their names, she would also say their names under her breath, like she's trying to memorize them. When roll call was finished, she stood up and went to the blackboard. She faced us and held her hands together in front of her. "Now, doesn't anyone know any Chinese?" She asked. Two hands went up at the front of the classroom and she had small conversations with the two students who apparently knew Chinese. "Well, I can assure you all that by the end of the year, you should be able to know the basics of the language and your final exam will be to tell a short story to the class in full Chinese." She said with a warm smile. Everyone in the class looked mortified. I have a feeling this class won't be easy. For the rest of the period, Miss Zhou put on the Disney Movie, 'Mulan' except that it was in full Mandarin and there were English subtitles at the bottom. When the bell rang, she turned the movie of and said goodbye to each of us as we left the classroom.

I waved Jesse and Brigitte goodbye as Hanzo and I made our way to the gym for our next class together. "...Come on, Genji. Please, just give Kendo a try?" He persuaded. I shook my head. "No, I'm sorry Hanzo. Fencing is more my thing. Kendo and Archery is all you. I wouldn't be happy in that club like I am when I'm in fencing." I explained to him. He groaned. "Alright, where am I supposed to find other members then?!" He asked while making gestures with his hands. "I don't know, put some signs around school or something!" I suggested. He sighed and we eventually made it to the gym. There was a sign in front of the locker rooms saying, 'Please go in and set your stuff down. Then proceed to the main gym and meet your teachers'. Hanzo and I walked in and set our stuff down against a wall and walked out to the main gym. That's when I saw Lucio, and we noticed me too. He smiled and ran over to us. "Hey, Genji! Hanzo! I didn't know we had a class together!" He said cheerfully. "We really should've checked schedules earlier before our classes. Not all of us did!" I said with a chuckle. Hanzo was staring off behind Lucio with a confused look. "Um, Lucio? Who are they?" He asked. Lucio looked behind him and saw a group of 3 or 4 students whispering and looking very excited at Lucio. He shrugged his shoulders. "Um, I don't know. Must be fans of mine!" Hanzo clicked his tongue. "Oh yeah, you just hit one million on YouTube correct?" Lucio nodded. The bell then rang and two teachers emerged out of the sports closet. One of them was a tall, buff woman with pink dyed hair. The other one was a tall, buff man who actually seemed taller than the other teacher! He had to duck under the doorway he was so tall! The woman blew her whistle and pointed to her left of the gym from where she was standing. "All girls, go that way and sit down." Her voice boomed. Once all the girls were over there, she walked to them and began talking. The other teacher however told all the boys to go to the opposite side of the gym. We did as we were told and waiting for further instructions. "My name is Mr. Ogundimu, or you can call me Mr. O. I do not care which you use. Now today is your first day, which means me and Miss Zaryanova do not have an actually lesson plan for you all just yet. But we will have one tomorrow. So for the rest of the period, feel free to do as you please. You may sit on the bleachers or you may play basketball." He said. Then turned to Miss Zaryanova on the other side of the gym and gave her an okay symbol (👌this). She gave him one too and they both walked back to the storage closet, where they brought out two folding chairs and a bag full of basketballs. I looked at Lucio and Hanzo. "Eh, I'm not really one for basketball." I said. They both agreed so we just decided to sit on the bleachers. We talked about normal things until three girls walked up to Lucio. "Um hey, are you Lucio, from Youtube?" Of the girls asked. He flashed them a smile. "I sure am! What can I do for you?" The girls acted more giddy as they asked for a photo with him. He agreed and when they were done, the girls walked away giggling and Lucio sat back down next to us. "Well, you're pretty popular with the girls." Hanzo said. Lucio shrugged his shoulders. "Eh. There's only one girl that belongs in my heart though." He said with a smile. I chuckled. "Um yeah, our sister?" I said. Lucio's cheeks turned a bright red as he tried to deny having feelings for Hana. But it's actually pretty obvious, she likes him too. For the rest of the period, we just continued talking until the bell rang. We went back to the locker room to grab our stuff and we began walking to the cafeteria for lunch. Lucio was gonna go hang out with Hana and Lena and Hanzo wanted to go hang out with Jesse and Amelíe, so I texted Jamison that I would meet him in the corner table of the cafeteria. He texted me back a thumbs up emoji and I got there just 6 minutes before he did. Mako was with him as always. Gosh, those two are inseparable. "Oi, how are ya doing mate?!" He greeted me loudly with a fist bump. "I'm doing good. Got anything for lunch?" I asked him. He shook his head. "Nope! Had no time to make lunch this morning and I forgot me money!" He said as if he was proud of himself. Mako took out his lunch. "I'm letting him have some of mine." He said while giving Jamison an extra ham sandwich. I pulled out my lunch and began with my onigiri that I learned to make myself over the summer! While eating, Amelíe and Lena walk up to our table and sit down. "Lena, this is my main friend group. That's Jamison and that's Mako." She said pointing to the two boys. Lena gave them a friendly wave and smile. "Hi there! I'm Lena." She said. Mako waved back and Jamison introduced himself with his mouth full of ham sandwich. What a great first impression. Lena seemed a little uncomfortable with Jamison, but that's everyone's reaction to meeting him. If you still feel that way after a week, then you probably shouldn't be friends with him. The rest of lunch was pretty normal. We all talked and laughed and generally had a good lunch together. But when the bell rang, we cleaned up our stuff and began heading to our next classes. I actually have my next class, English, with Jamison, so we walked to the class together.

As we stepped inside the classroom, we picked a seat and waited for class to start.

-Timeskip because it's literally the same English class that Jesse had, meaning everyone introduced themselves and whatnot and I don't think y'all wanna sit through that again lol-

When the bell rung, Jamison and I began walking to another class we had together that was actually two rooms down from our last class. Health was our last period of the day, and when we walked inside we nabbed a good spot in the back and waited. Eventually Jesse, Angela, Lena and Satya walked in and sat in seats all around us. We talked about random things until the bell rang and the teacher began to talk. The whole class was basically a roll call and an introduction to the class followed by a movie that we watched for the rest of class. When the last bell of the day finally rang, Angela and I parted ways from our friends whom were on their way to the bus. Our dad was picking us up today so we just needed to go straight to the outside of the school where he would be waiting for us. Hana and Hanzo beat us to the car before us however. We all got inside and dad drove us home, asking us all how our first day went.
