(Brigitte's POV) Day 10 /Continued\

I got the text during lunch. I was hanging out with some of my friends from shop class when my phone buzzed in a text tone I had set to Angela's contact. When I opened the message, I let out an auditory gasp of shock.

He's awake. He's actually, really awake!

I sprinted out of shop class, completely abandoning my friends and belongings besides my phone, and I started running in the direction of the cafeteria. The school is huge, so it took me a while to get there, and it didn't help when I had several teachers tell me to stop running in the halls every 6 seconds. When I finally made it to the cafeteria I found Angela sitting with Olivia, Hana, Amelíe, Lucio, Jamison and Jesse. They looked excited, but also on edge. I approached hastily. "Angela, I got your text! Is he really awake?" I asked. I didn't mean to intrude like that but I've been so worried about Genji ever since the accident. I must know.

"Yes," She started. "Dad texted me 8 minutes ago and I just got off the phone with him before I made my way here. He's going to be okay...he's actually going to be okay!" She exclaimed, tears welling up in the corners of her eyes. I smiled, silently thanking whatever invisible force out there that has been protecting Genji from the infinite dark.

~Three Hours Later~

The bell has just rung, signaling the end of the school day. I hurried my way out of my last period class and practically ran out of the school and over to the parking lot. I was going to get a ride with Angela and Hana to the hospital to see Genji. I was so fast getting out of the school that the girls were not yet at Angela's car, so I leaned against the back passenger's door and impatiently waited for the two sisters to arrive. It didn't take long for them to arrive, they were running just as I was. Angela popped the trunk to her car and she threw her backpack in while Hana and I followed suit. Once all of our backpacks were inside, she quickly shut the trunk and quickly walked over to the drivers seat. Hana and I climbed into the car, both of us sitting in the back. Angela shut her door then started the car. She pulled out of the her parking spot with ease, but now she had to face the after school traffic. There were many cars trying to get out as well, so it took a while before we could even see the main road. I noticed that Amelíe was behind us in her car with Olivia, Hanzo, Jamison and Mako, and Fareeha was in her car still trying to get out of her parking spot. It was a nightmare. I hit the seat in frustration as I looked at the horrendous traffic.

"Ugh! Shouldn't they have one of the security guards come out here and redirect the traffic?" I said irritably. Angela looked at me from her front mirror. "There is. But I think one of the guards is sick today." She said, trying to get a better look at the road ahead. It was moving along so slowly until the form of a woman walked past the left side of Angela's car and knocked on her window. It was Miss Orisa!
Angela rolled her window down to greet her.
"Hello, Miss Orisa." She said. "Hello, Angela. Is anyone down there redirecting traffic?" She asked in her thick, foreign accent. Angela shook her head. Miss Orisa smiled. "Well, not for long. You have a good rest of your day Angela." She said warmly. As Angela rolled her window back up, we all observed as Miss Orisa walked into the street where the source of traffic was occurring and started to redirect the mess of cars. We cheered as we were able to quickly leave the parking lot, but not without waving to Miss Orisa, mouthing 'Thank you' to her as we left.

We made it to the hospital in good time, with everyone else arriving not long after us. We all scrambled out of our cars and practically ran inside, though we calmed down a bit once we were all inside. We went up the elevator to the floor where Genji is being hospitalized in and walked into the waiting room. Mr. Morrison was sitting in one of the chairs before he noticed us, and he stood up when we all piled out of the elevator. "Genji is just down the hall in his room, but I'm afraid only three at a time." He said. I looked at Angel, Hana, and Hanzo. "You guys go in first. You're his family after all." I told them. Angela smiled at me. She nodded, then lead her brother and sister down the hall, to room 506.

OMG IM SO GLAD IM BACK WITH THIS STORY😭😭😭😭I've been itching to continue it but writers block has prevented me from doing so for a while, coupled with other things that have been happening in my life. Nonetheless, I'm so glad to be back writing this story. I've really left it alone for a while. But I have some brand news ideas for the future of this story that I can't wait for you all to see. But before I end the chapter off here, I want to address a few things:

First off: There is a new character that was introduced a while ago. This guy.

Lmao I'm going to be honest, I don't really know what I feel about him as a character but when I tried playing him and instantly hated it😂😂I hated it more when someone played him and got POTG as him from killing me one round. But as tradition goes, when a new character is added to Overwatch, that character must be added here. I honestly don't know what to make of this guy other than a simple physics teacher. But what do you guys want to see Sigma as in this story? Let me know and I'll pick the best idea!

Second: I know some of you might still be wondering where Baptiste is in this story. Don't worry, he'll be coming soon😁

And with that, thank you so much for those of you who gave me positive feedback about the announcement of my break from this story. 2019 has not been very kind to me and I'm just really excited that it's already October. If you've been reading this story since the very beginning and you're still here with me, you don't know how much you mean to me. I love writing and I love it when people actually like what I write and put out there. So thank you, every single one of you.
