From Different Worlds

Chapter 24

It's Christmas time. Cheryl wasn't to fond of it, mainly because all of her's sucked, a day her family would act like a normal family. Like they were happy, and didn't have any problems. Or going to the CPS office to see her parents, or just staying with foster parents who could give two shits about her.

But, even though she hated it, she still got things for Toni, and she was actually heading to her house now. Once she got there, she grabbed her bag, and knocked on the door.

Toni answered it, "baby!" She squealed  as she jumped into Cheryl's arms.

"Hey, babes."

"I missed you." Toni snuggled into Cheryl's neck, as she held her.

"I saw you yesterday." Cheryl laughed while putting her down, "but I missed you too."

Toni pulled Cheryl up to her room. Meanwhile, Toni's uncle was on the flight to her house.

Let me give you a little back ground info on Toni's uncle...He is a foster parent. He's been one for five years. He got his license taken away a few years ago, but that's but that's not important. The real reason he was going to see Violet and Toni, was so he could get a good lawyer. He wants his license back. Juniper is his adopted daughter, she was a little messed up from all the things she saw growing up, and was a little obsessed with Toni. She had a crush on her, even though they are cousins. She didn't think of it as ancest, because they weren't related by blood, but it was still gross. Toni, and Violet know he got his license taken away, but they didn't know why.

"Can we cuddle all day?" Cheryl asked.

"We can do whatever you want."

Toni got on her bed, and Cheryl soon after. She laid her head on Cheryl's chest, and wrapped her arms around her waist. Cheryl began to lightly stroke her hair. "Babe?"

Cheryl hummed in response.

"What was Christmas like at your house?"

"Shitty. I mean, it was a day where my family acted like we were normal. At home, or the CPS office." Cheryl sighed. "Or we were at shitty foster homes."

"Oh. I'm sorry."

"It's fine. What about you?"

"Well, it was good I guess. We woke up, open gifts, ate breakfast, hang with family, and just chill all day. I met Jeremy's family once on Christmas a long time ago, and they were assholes like Jeremy was when no one was around." Toni sighed. She looked up and saw Cheryl was fighting back sleep. "Can I to read to you?"

"Yeah." Cheryl mumbled.

Cheryl found comfort in Toni reading to her. She couldn't really do it to well herself, and Toni enjoyed reading, so she just read to Cheryl. Toni knew Cheryl wasn't going to last long.

So far, Toni has read Cheryl the whole Harry Potter series, the Percy Jackson series, and couple poetry books.

A couple hours have passed, and both Toni, and Cheryl are asleep. Toni was literally on top of Cheryl, and Toni's arms were wrapped around Cheryl, one still holding the book in her hand. Toni's head was nuzzled in Cheryl's neck.

Violet walked in because Toni's Uncle Thomas, and Juniper have arrived. She looked in, and saw them sleeping. She didn't want to wake them, so she grabbed to book out of Toni's hand, and placed it on her nightstand. She quietly walked out of the room, and closed the door.

"Sorry, they're asleep..." Violet said walking done the stairs.

"They?" Juniper questioned.

"Toni has her girlfriend over. Oh yeah Juniper, you have to stay in the guest room, Cheryl's gonna be here for a couple days, I don't know how long."
