Chapter 34

The next day came, and Jason came to wake them up as usual. "UP! UP! UP!" He yelled. Cheryl didn't move, in fact Toni's surprised she stayed asleep. Veronica rolled over, falling off the top bunk.

"I told you it was stupid to take of the railing." Betty said rubbing her eyes, and sitting up.

"Ow..." Veronica whispered.

Cheryl yawned, and rolled into Toni, nuzzling her head in her neck.

"Dad made breakfast..." Jason stated.

"We'll be down in a minute." Betty yawned. Jason walked out, going back to the dining table.

Veronica was laying on the ground, still waking up, and trying to collect herself from that fall. "Fuck." She groaned getting up.

"Cheryl fell asleep again." Toni giggled, looking down at Cheryl. "Princess...wake up." She whispered so only Cheryl could hear.

"I smell..." Betty paused for a second. "Ohh, pancakes." She ran out of the room. Veronica following not to far after.

"C'mon Cher. I'll give you a piggy back." Toni sat on the edge of the bed, so Cheryl could climb on her back. She rested her head on her shoulder, and lightly wrapped her arms around her neck. Toni walked down stairs to the dining room.

"Okay we get it. Y'all are cute." Jason sighed.

"Yeah, we get it your single." Toni placed Cheryl on a chair. She was still waking up.

Jeshua walked over, and kissed Cheryl on the head. "Did you sleep well?" He placed a cup of orange juice by her.

Cheryl nodded her head.

"We have a lot of stuff to do today..." Jaime began. "We have to go to court, to get some papers, which might take a while, and Jason has a doctor's appointment."

"Oh! Can I tag along to the court house, I need to ask Attorney Mccoy about my emancipation..." Toni stated.

"Yes you may. Now, hurry and eat, you guys have some cleaning to do." She smiled.

"I have one piece left, and can't figure out where it goes..." Veronica whined.

"Don't you see the giant hole in the side." Cheryl laughed.

Veronica turned the vase, "oh."

"Guys, are you almost done?" Jason asked coming in the kitchen. "I'm bored."

"I'm done." Cheryl dried her hands. "Veronica, is..." She trailed off.

"Done." Veronica smiled at her work. "I don't know about Betty, or Toni."

As if one queue they both walked in. "We've been done, and were just sitting in the room, watching frozen."

"Okay, kids let's go." Jeshua said.

Four Months Later...

Today was the day the Blossom twins get officially adopted. They were super excited but nervous. The twins agreed to keep their last name, because they wanted to keep the Blossom legacy alive. Even if it was nothing. "Kids hurry were almost late." Jaime yelled.

"JASON GET YOU PANTS ON AND GET OUT OF MY ROOM!" Cheryl yelled. Jeshua and Jaime looked at each other and sighed. This was going to be a long day... Cheryl stomped out of her room. "Do you have to adopt Jason too?" She looked back at the boy, who turned around because he realized his pants were on back wards. Jaime and Jeshua laughed at Cheryl's question.

"Yes, we do." Jaime said.

"I'm ready." Jason walked out of his room, smiling.

Once they got to the courthouse, the judge asked the parents a bunch of questions about their motivations to adopt, and made sure they understood the process. Then the judge looked over the papers and asked a few more questions. "Looks like that wraps thing up. Congratulations."

Everyone in the courtroom cheered, and they got up to hug each other. "I love you." Cheryl whispered into Jaime's ear. She hasn't said that to either of them yet, so Jaime was kinda shocked.

"I love you too."

Cheryl was laying in her bed, thinking about the event that happened today. She was adopted. She finally had a family that loved her for who she was.

"Hey, Cher." Jason said walking into her room.

"Hey J."

"So, uh...are you happy about what happened today?"

"Yeah, aren't you?" Cheryl raised a ginger brow.

"Yeah, I am...but..."

"But what?"

"Do you think mom and dad are mad at us?" Jason looked at her with tears in his eyes. Cheryl opened her arms. Jason got under the covers with his sister, and snuggled into her.

"Jason, they are probably happy were happy...." Cheryl sighed. "No, I don't think they're mad at us."

"Okay..."

A few hours later, Jeshua went to go check on the kids, and make sure they're asleep. He walked into Jason's room first, and saw that he wasn't in there. He walked into Cheryl's room, and saw Cheryl on one side of the bed, and Jason sprawled out on the other. He kissed both their heads, and went back into his room. "Their asleep. Surprisingly, Cheryl let Jason sleep in the same bed as her."

"Wow. That's a first."

"Yeah." Jeshua laughed.
