Five Years Later...

Five years have passed and a lot of things have changed.

For instance, Indigo is five now, has no clue who Toni is, and is homeschooled. She is very shy, hates talking to people, and hates meeting new people. She only really talks to her family, and likes to keep to herself.

Toni stopped calling them every night after maybe two years. This definitely hurt Cheryl, but Indigo was to young to even know you Toni was. Random packages were sent to them on Indigo's birthday and Christmas under the name of Maria. Cheryl had no clue who that was, but just assumed it was an old friend or something.

"Indigo get your computer it's time for school." Cheryl told the young girl.

"Okay." Indigo went upstairs. There was a knock at the door, and Cheryl went to go answer. They weren't expecting anyone today...

Once Cheryl opened the door she froze. "T-Toni?"

"Hey Cher..." The brunette smiled. A tear rolled down Cheryl's cheek. Toni pulled her into a hug. "I'm so sorry. I was being manipulated by this evil bitch who ended up being a huge serial killer. I had to move and make a fake identity for a while..."

Cheryl pulled back and kissed her. "I missed you so much."

Toni wiped the tears off Cheryl's face. "I missed you to. But uh...where's Indigo?"

"Oh right...well she's very very shy. Hates talking to new people, and or people she's just met, and meeting new people, so yeah. She's upstairs I think..." Cheryl held Toni's hand and led her into the house. Toni looked around and it was almost the same as when she left. Except there were pictures on the wall of Indigo and her drawings.

"Momma I can't find my-" Indigo came walking down the stairs but stopped when she saw Toni.

"Hey, baby." Toni smiled a bit.

Indigo just went back to her room. Toni just looked at Cheryl with furrowed eyebrows.

"Sorry, let me go talk to her..." Cheryl walked up the stairs and into her daughter's room. "Indi..."

Indigo was sitting on her bed, heavily breathing, and sweating.

Cheryl had an appointment for her with a psychiatrist, but it's a whole week away.

Cheryl walked up to her, and tried to calm her down. "Hey, hey. Look at me."

Indigo did as told. Cheryl lifted the girl's hand and put it to her heart.

"Feel my heart beat? Can you try to match it. Take deep breaths okay...no ones judging you, no one's gonna hurt you. You're okay."

Indigo took a deep breaths and tried to calm down. She didn't know what was wrong with her. Why was she like this?

Once she calmed down, Cheryl began taking again. "You know Toni right? The lady in all the pictures I showed you, and the cd you listen to before bed?" Indigo nodded her head. "That's the same lady. She's your mommy."

"Oh..." Indigo said quietly, just above a whisper. "I'm sorry..."

"No it's not your fault, love...do you think you can at least say hi to her?"

Eventually they came out of the room, and saw Toni looking at some of the pictures. Indigo just looked at her, while Cheryl walked over.

"Indigo, this is Toni, she's your mommy."

"H-Hi." The young girl mumbled.

"Hey Indigo." Toni smiled.
