Chapter 36

The next morning Toni woke up first. She was surprised Jason hadn't come in there. She turned over to Cheryl who was curled into a ball, and kissed her forehead. Then Jason came in, about to yell. Toni stopped him. He nodded his head, walked out, walked back in, and yelled. "GET UP! NOW! DAD MADE BREAKFAST!"

"JASON!" Toni yelled.

Cheryl rolled over on to Toni. "I'm tired." She yawned.

Betty sat up, "yes, bacon!" She cheered and ran out.

Veronica groaned, and fell back asleep. As well as Cheryl.

"Cheryl." Toni giggled. She stood up, Cheryl clinging onto her, "wake up."

"Why?" She whined.

"Because..."

"Fine, but can I get on your back?"

"Yeah." Toni put her on the ground, and she jumped on her back.

Veronica jumped from the top bunk, and jumped on top of Cheryl. "Holy shit. I've never been on a two person piggy back before."

"Veronica!" Toni yelled almost falling.

"C'mon you can do it." Veronica rolled her eyes.

She walked down stairs to the kitchen, and Veronica jumped down. "Thanks for the ride." She smiled.

Toni placed Cheryl in a chair, and pecked her lips, "I love you." She whispered.

"I love you."

Jeshua was wondering what did Jaime want to tell him yesterday. They were sitting at the table eating breakfast. "So, what was the exciting new you wanted to tell me?"

Jaime looked at Cheryl.

Cheryl looked clueless. She was out of it today. "Hmm?"

"What happened yesterday?" Jaime asked.

"Oh...I uh, got into Skidmore." She said quietly.

"Really!" He said excitedly. "That's amazing. I'm so proud of you!"

Jason was shocked to because no one told him last night. "Congrats Cher."

"Thanks..." Cheryl said.

"I might apply to college but I'm not sure yet..." Veronica sighed. "My girlfriend wants me too."

"You should." Jaime smiled. "You could get a degree, and get a good job."

Everyone went except Toni. Her and Cheryl were cuddling in a spooning position, and watching their favorite movie. Toni noticed Cheryl wasn't acting herself. She was just off the whole day. She knew something was bothering her. "Cher?"

"Hmm." Cheryl was on the verge of sleeping, as usual.

"What's going on?"

"Well, Anna just got frozen in ice, beca-"

"Cher, I'm not talking about the movie..."

Cheryl looked over at her with furrowed eyebrows.

"What's going on with you? You haven't been yourself."

Cheryl took a deep breath. "This happened two years ago, and I don't even know why I'm acting like this over it...but Heather kidnapped me two years ago today." A tear rolled down her cheek.

"Cher..." Toni pulled her closer. "It's okay to be sad over that. That was probably super traumatic, and no one should have to go through that."

Cheryl nodded.

A few minutes later, Cheryl fell asleep. Toni just laid with her, watching a different movie, when Sweet Pea? "What the hell are you doing here Sweet Pea?"

"I'm Jason's...boyfriend, and I just realized his room is one more down." He walked out.

Toni didn't know Sweet Pea was bi.

Cheryl woke up, spooning Toni who was still sleeping. She looked over at the clock, and it was 5:23 p.m. She sighed and looked over at Toni. "TT." She whispered.

Toni just rolled over.

Cheryl gently laid her on her back, and straddled her hips. She started peppering her face with kisses.

"Cheryl." Toni groaned. "When did you wake up?" She asked with her eyes still closed.

"Not to long ago...maybe five minutes."

"Oh."

Then Jason came storming in.

"Jason don't you ever fucking knock?!" Cheryl yelled, getting off Toni.

"No, rude of you to assume." Jason sighed. "Can Sweet Pea come to Saturday sleepovers?"

"No! That's girl time. Sweet Pea hates me, and also that's- just- no." Cheryl said.

"It was worth a shot. Welp time to go ask mom."

"No!" Cheryl jumped off the bed, and chased Jason down stairs to the kitchen. Toni giggled a bit, and walked to watch the encounter.

"Jasonwantstoinvitesweetpeatogirlsnightsleepoversandialreadytoldhimnoandsweetpeahatesme." Cheryl rushed out.

"NO! He does not hate you!"

"Yes he does!"

"No!"

"I'm not arguing with you Jason. Sweet Pea is not coming!" Cheryl slammed her hand on the counter.

"Mom?" Jason turned to Jaime.

"By the way, Sweet Pea punched me in the face for something he had no proof over, so basically no reason." Cheryl turned to her mom as well.

Toni stood and watched the siblings argue. Jaime turned to her. "What do you think?" She asked.

"She's obviously gonna choose Cheryl's side?!" Jason retorted.

"Sweet Pea does hate Cheryl..." Toni sighed. "Even when I told him we were dating he was still an ass."

"Well, there you go. Jason if you wanna invite someone to the sleep over, they have to like everyone."

Cheryl skipped back up to her room.

"Why does everyone always take Cheryl's side?" Jason pouted.

"Jason. Your sister is right. From everything I heard, Sweet Pea hates your sister." Jaime sighed. "Sorry bud, you have to invite people who get along with everyone."

"Fine." Jason stomped back to his room.

Toni awkwardly went back to Cheryl's room. Cheryl was in the bathroom, so Toni just sat on her bed thinking. Then an amazing idea came to her head.

"Cher?" Toni asked.

"Yeah?" Cheryl and Toni were sitting at a booth at Pop's.

"Can we run for prom queens?"

"What?! No! Are you crazy?" Cheryl laughed. "Me...prom queen?"

"C'mon, it'll be fun. Plus we never ran before..." Toni pouted.

Cheryl sighs. "Fine."

"Yes!" Toni cheers.
