"You could of gotten hurt? And how did you even stitch yourself back up?" Jaime scolded.

"One, I'm not hurt. I'm completely fine. Second, I found thread in Veronica's car." Cheryl huffed. Her mom has been yelling at her for the past twenty minutes.

"Veronica isn't coming over until your out."

"She's my best friend!" Cheryl yelled. "It wasn't even her idea. She got in a jam, and I helped her. I couldn't do it from the hospital."

"I'm sure whatever it was it could of waited. I don't care if she's your best friend she still helped you leave."

"Veronica has gotten me out of numerous bad situations, also we were kind of on a time crunch. She has every right to come see me, just as you."

"What? What even happened to where you were on a time crunch?"

"Stuff. None of your business." Cheryl rolled her eyes. "Veronica has done so many things for me, and I wanted to help her. She told me not to leave, and was scolding me the whole time."

Jaime scoffed. "I don't care. What Veronica gets herself into is her-"

"Don't even finish that sentence. We've know each other since we were born. She's basically my sister. And if Veronica ever needs my help, I'm gonna help her."

"Cheryl what did Veronica do. If it was so bad that you had to put your safety at risk, I must know." Jaime demanded.

"That's not relevant. What matters is I'm back, I'm safe, Veronica is getting help, and were all fine." Cheryl sighed. "Plus, I probably did something equally as bad."

Then Veronica walked in. "Hey Ch-" Jaime cut her off.

"Sorry Veronica, Cheryl isn-"

"You can come in." Cheryl interrupted. "Is it about the case?"

Veronica nodded and sat in one of the arm chairs, not caring about what Jaime was going to say.

Jaime just sat there confused. Veronica and Cheryl's friendship was like no other. Probably one of the healthiest friendships Jaime has ever seen.

"Yeah. The guy is going to jail for what he did to Lauren after he gets out of the hospital." Veronica sighed. "Lauren is going to therapy, but isn't doing to well."

"What the hell happened?" Jaime asked. "The hospital?"

"Yeah." Veronica said quietly. "It's over now though."

"When did you talk to Lauren?" Cheryl questioned.

"I didn't she said it all in court." Veronica shrugged. "I want to talk to her though."

Jaime was sitting back, listening to the tea that was being spilled.

"This is totally off topic, but did Sweet Pea ever apologize for hitting you?" Veronica asked.

"Yeah. Graduation he came up to me, and was like 'I'm sorry for y'know?' and I was like okay? and then walked away."

A few days later...

Cheryl was getting out of the hospital today. She was excited to finally go home, and sleep in her own bed.

"Cheryl grab Daisy, and we'll carry the rest." Jeshua said.

"I can carry more." Cheryl suggested.

"Your left hand is broken, and your collar bone is broken on the right."
