"Fine, I'll prove it,"

He slowly leaned in, and I did too, freaking out on the inside, but still managing to stay calm. Did I just cause this?

Just as only a few centimetres were separating our lips, I slowly wrapped my arms around his neck, as he did the same but around my waist, sending shivers down my spine. My thoughts were interrupted as our lips met, immediately feeling him smile through the kiss. It was only a small kiss, but in it was held every proof I needed, every evidence that he wouldn't forget me.

He softly pulled back, planting a small kiss on my forehead.

"See?" he said, smiling.

I nodded, leaning in for another one, except this time it was more intense, almost urgent. The longer it lasted, the more I wanted him. He pulled me even closer, so that there wasn't any space left between the two of us. I have been kissed before, but it never felt like this. Tonight was a roller coaster of emotions, of intensely good emotions. It felt like the roller coaster only had ups, if that makes sense. As the kiss was deepening by the second, voices were heard only a small distance away from us which made us immediately pull back, bringing us back to reality.

"There they are!"

Martin gave me a funny look, as if saying 'almost got caught' and I tried to keep myself from smiling, biting my lip, looking up to see who had unfortunately interrupted Martin and I.

I wasn't really surprised when I saw Rick, followed by people I didn't really know. Probably Martin's friends, considering they pretty much all looked the same age. Martin introduced me to them, and they all seemed pretty friendly, actually. We hung out with them for a little bit less than an hour, we watched the rest of the festival, and it was as amazing as it was when I was part of the crowd the first time earlier tonight.

The clock was ticking, and as tired as I was, I didn't want to leave, I didn't want to go to sleep. Even though I was supposed to wake up in only a few hours, I didn't feel like going to bed. I wanted to make this moment last. I mean, I didn't know whether or not I would ever see Martin again. It might be annoying how I keep blabbering about how I don't want to leave or how I'll never see him again and blablaaaa, but I never usually talk about cheesy stuff like that! That must mean something, right? Instead of actually enjoying the moment like I kept telling myself to do, I just kept worrying about the fact that I didn't have a lot of time left and that I was leaving and so on.

Martin did succeed to snap me out of it, though. He made me forget I was leaving. We spent the whole night together, and I was surprised he wasn't tired at all, even after a performance like that. It was really late at night, so we were pretty much alone. We walked around the resort, and it just felt like there was no awkward silences, he was always talking when I wasn't, and he makes me laugh so easily, I love it. I've always wanted to go on a midnight adventure, and there we were right now, acting like a bunch of kids, giggling and running around. It was around 4 a.m. and I was having the best night ever. We stopped by the pool to look at the stars. They shined so bright, we couldn't see any trace of clouds. It was a really warm and calm night, the only detectable noises were Martin and I's laughs.

"I wonder how warm the water is," I mentioned, staring at the crystal clear water, which was lit by lights that came from inside the pool, making it glow even more.

"Why don't you go and see for yourself?" Martin asked, turning his gaze to me.

I smiled and stood up, slowly walking towards the edge of the pool, but before I could get any farther, I felt myself being picked up.

"Let me go!" I yelled, laughing as Martin got closer to the water.

I knew what was coming, and he was going to regret even thinking about throwing me in the water.

"I don't think I can do that," he replied, grinning, as he got closer and closer.

"Martin, put me down!" I responded, hysterically laughing.

It was too late, as I finished my sentence, I saw for less than a second the water getting closer and closer to my face, as it finally made contact with the icy cold water. No, it is definitely not warm. As soon as I got to the surface to catch my breath, I glared at Martin, who was now giggling at the sight of me being dripping wet.
"Did you just-

"I did," he replied, chuckling, backing away from the edge of the pool.

"If you think that you can just throw me in the pool and get away with it, you are dead wrong," I replied, slowly getting out of the water, walking his way.

My clothes were all wet, but luckily my cellphone and my money were in my backpack which I had left on one of the chairs we were sitting on a few minutes earlier.

I looked at him with an evil smile before running towards him.

He started running away from me, and I was obviously a lot slower considering I'm failing gym class and pretty much anyone could beat me at running. I suck at running, it's certainly not one of my talents. He kept running around the pool and I was slowly starting to give up, because no matter which way I went, he went the other way, and there really wasn't any way of catching him, so that's when I came up with an evil plan.

I suck at running, true, but I'm a good actress, sort of.

"Ow!" I whined, putting my hand on my ankle as if it was hurting.
I pretended to lose balance and fell backwards, so that I was now sitting down, with my ankle in between my grip.

"Mel, are you okay?" Martin asked, rushing to where I was.

"Y-Yeah, I think it's broken or something..." I trailed off, looking down.

Once he was close enough, I smiled viciously and stood up, grabbing his arm and pushing him as hard as I could him in the water. It was barely enough to make him fall though. My plan had worked perfectly, and I proudly smiled to myself, waiting for him to come back to the surface.

He finally came back, glaring at me, "Not fair, Mel,"
"You got what you deserved, Garrix," I said, smirking.

I sat down on the edge of the pool, dipping my feet in the water, as Martin hopped out of the water to sit next to me.

"I had a really great time, you know?" Martin said, gazing at the moon that was about to go down.
"Yeah, so did I,"

I caught myself smiling for no reason, and when the sun was slowly coming up, that's when I realized that it was time to go. It was still dark outside, but my plane was leaving really early, and I couldn't miss it. Although that's what I wanted. I frowned, looking down at my feet, still in the water.

"Mel?"

"Hm?"

"I really like you, you know?"

I smiled, turning to him.

"I like you too,"

"I promise you we'll see each other again. I travel a lot, I can easily come to wherever you live and we have each other's number, so as soon as I miss you, which will be as soon as you leave, I'll text you,"

I simply smiled, standing up.

"So this is it?" I asked, biting my lower lip.

He didn't respond, he simply crashed his lips on mine, catching me off guard. I immediately kissed back, playing with his hair that was still wet from the pool. I don't think I could ever get used to this feeling. We kissed 3 times and each time it surprised me, each time was magical and after each kiss he leaves me wanting more. After a few seconds, he pulled back, looking right into my eyes.

He pulled me into a hug and I had to stand on the tip of my toes to be able to reach his neck with my arms.
"No, it's only the beginning," he said, sending shivers down my spine.
