"Mel, where are you going?" My mother asked, looking up from the menu.
"I-I'm going to get breakfast at a restaurant, I don't want room service,"
"Good luck with that, it's 3 in the after noon. But remember we have our Christmas Eve dinner at 7. You need to be there, it's a family dinner," she gave me a serious look, and I nodded.
"Yeah, don't worry. It's not like I have anything better to do, anyway."Lies.
I was determined to find Martin today, might as well start early. Early might not be the word we're looking for here since I just woke up and it's 3 in the after noon, I'm still pretty jet-lagged, but you get the point.
We arrived yesterday, and I still get lost in the hotel, and when I say "I still get lost" I mean literally lost, I found myself in another resort last night. Don't ask me how I got out of my resort and got in another one without realizing it, because I don't know.
I realized it when I tried getting to my room.
I was so desperate to find him that I searched every corner of the resort.Except it wasn't the right one.
At least I tried.
Tonight's dinner didn't really sound appealing. I would be alone, as usual. My sister and her boyfriend would probably be all over each other all evening, my parents would probably talk to me about colleges and my future job as a doctor, because that's what they want me to be.It's a really fancy dinner at the fanciest restaurant in the hotel, and it's a huge buffet for Christmas and my mom insisted on going and dressing up and everything.
I love Christmas, except I like spending Christmas at home, where there is snow.
I checked my Twitter timeline and Martin had just posted a picture next to the beach.
"Ok, so you're at the beach," I mumbled to myself.I put my phone in my pocket and practically ran in direction of the beach. Since the site was so huge, we had to take shuttles, and I was waiting patiently to get out, I didn't want to miss Martin this time.
As soon as it stopped to where the beach was, I quickly got out and scanned the entire beach. Nothing seemed suspicious to me, kids were playing and making sand castles, people were tanning, and no screams were heard. I couldn't see any group of fangirls screaming, so I figured he couldn't be there. I sighed, sitting on a bench.
They say that if you look too hard for someone, you won't find them. It's when you're expecting it the less that it actually happens.
So what, am I supposed to just act like I don't expect to see Martin and he will suddenly knock on my door?I wish.
I decided to walk along the beach for a bit, it was absolutely magnificent and I couldn't get over how perfect the beach was. The sand was soft and warm, it was almost white. It almost seemed like snow, except I could walk barefoot in it comfortably. The water was light blue, almost transparent. The waves hit my feet just perfectly so that it was refreshing.
Once I got out, I rinsed my feet, which were covered in wet sand, in the showers they had at the entrance of the beach. I put my shoes on and began walking, suddenly bumping into someone.
"Ouch, watch where you're going," I snapped, looking up.
"Sorry, I-I didn't see you there,"It was a boy, around my age. Sadly it wasn't Martin, it would've been way too ironic.
"It's ok, I wasn't looking where I was going," I said smiling, feeling a little bad about how harsh I sounded.
"My name's Felix, what's yours?"
"I'm Melody," I said, smiling. "But uh, I gotta go, see you around," I said, quickly making my way to the bar.
Nothing personal, it's just that my main priority right now was Garrix.I ordered a pina colada and looked at my phone.
Shoot, already 6 p.m.I headed back to my room to get ready.

I was waiting patiently for my sister to come out of her room, we all were, but princess Kylie needed to curl a few more strands of hair.
She would come out looking like a Victoria's Secret model, obviously, but if we waited more than 5 more minutes we would be late, and I was hungry. I hadn't eaten all day and waiting for her made me angry.
"Kylie, hurry up, everyone's waiting," I sighed in frustration, knocking on her door.
"Coming!" She yelled from inside her room."Hey mom, why didn't I get my own room too?"
"Because, we had to take two rooms anyway, and Kylie and Ryan weren't going to sleep in the same room with your dad and I now were they?"
"Ew no," I cringed.
"Exactly,""Here I am," Kylie said, coming out of her room.
She was wearing a baby pink strapless dress which sort of matched the shade of her lips. She had white heels which made her look a lot taller than she actually was, but she still was pretty short. That's not the only thing that was pretty short, I scanned her dress and I was afraid of what would happen if she bended a little. It was more than pretty short. She was wearing a shade of matte gold on her eyelids which made the blue of her eyes even more blue. Her blonde hair was perfectly curled, and a diamond necklace was resting on her collar bones perfectly. Her skin was tan and I almost cried of jealousy.
She did look like a Victoria's Secret model, while I, on the other hand, looked like I hadn't slept in a week. I had a nice shade of exhaustion under my eyes and I looked like I hadn't even tried at all.
Oh well.
When we finally arrived at the restaurant, I looked around amazed, it was gorgeous. Tables were lined up equally and were all in shades of red, white, and green. Candles were lit on every table, and soft Christmas music was being played. It did feel like Christmas.
I noticed a couple of mistletoes and chuckled to myself.Well would you look at that!
Those are the mistletoes I'm not going to get kissed under!
We finally sat down, as the waiter came to ask us what we would like to drink first.
I slid my hand in my purse to check my phone.
"What.." I mumbled to myself, as I couldn't find my phone."Excuse me, I left something in the room, I'll be back as soon as I get it," I said, standing up.
"Hurry up, please," My dad said, taking a sip out of his wine glass.
I pushed the button on the elevator to go to the floor where our rooms were and waited nervously.
I finally got in, and pushed on floor 7.I quickly made my way to my room, and once I got there, I opened the door with the card they gave us when we arrived here. I really hope it's there and I really hope I haven't lost it at the beach or something.
I opened the door, stressing out.
I scanned the room and noticed my phone resting on a chair. I sighed in relief and quickly grabbed it.
"YES!" I squealed, closing the door behind me.
I got back to the elevators, but this time to go down, and I got in, checking my Twitter timeline, once again. The elevator stopped, and I walked out, not looking up from my phone. I noticed that the carpet wasn't the same as the carpet where the restaurant was, and looked at the floor I was on.I was on floor 5, oops.
I got back in the elevator, still checking my phone.
"Your phone looks pretty interesting," someone said, as the doors closed.
"Uhuh" I mumbled, before looking up to see who had just entered the elevator.
Oh dear.
