Ch. 19
Mason
~~~~UNEDITED~~~~
I saw what Lucas was doing, and I couldn't stand it anymore. He was hurting Alex, even if she wasn’t going to up and admit it. I casually started moving in that direction, and it was then that Alex saw me. She gave me a look that said she needed help.
"Let go of her!" I yelled and threw Lucas to the ground. I saw Alex running away, probably going to look for Amanda. I couldn’t help but feel worried, wondering if she was alright.
"Just leave her alone, Lucas, and we won't have a problem." He hadn’t moved, and I had him pinned to the ground. I made the stupid mistake of looking for Alex, when I felt pain in my cheek from being punched in the face by Lucas. Right after I got a punch to the gut. I knew better than to anger a drunken person, let alone fight one. I just blocked his punches to my throat and head, trying to protect myself as best I could. Lucas had then kicked me, right in the side, and I buckled, hearing Alex scream in the background. That was the last thing I had heard before I received a kick to the head and blacked out.
