Alex

I walked into school, to find Mason with Natalie. I was slightly surprised, but I knew I shouldn’t be. I felt his eyes on me as he said good bye to Natalie and walked over to me.
“Hey,” he said, smoothly.
“Hi,”
“About last night…”
“Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me,” I said sarcastically, even though I truly meant it.
“That’s not what I came over here for Alex and you know it.”
“Then what do you want, Mason?” He just looked at me.
“Can I walk you home today? I’ll wait for you at your locker.”
“Like you do for Natalie,”
“Alex, it’s not like that. I just want a nice walk home with a friend.”
“So you kiss all of your friends?” He didn’t say anything, and I felt slightly bad for being so difficult. “Ok, I’ll be there,” I turned around and walked away, enthused for the walk home.
……..
I held his hand as we walked home together. Sometimes, I swore I fell into a daydream just looking into his eyes. I swear if he wasn’t guiding me, I would have walked into a tree.
I shivered as I walked up the walkway, and into the large house. I tried to slip in, unnoticed, but of course, my dad had been awaiting my arrival.
"Where have you been?" he asked, but not in a pressing matter, just concerned.
"I told you, I walked home.”
Before I could be further more interrogated, I said, "I got to go do homework, dad," and raced up the stairs to my room. I was completely unfocused, thinking only of Mason. The kiss on the sidewalk, him asking me if he could walk me home, the walk home, was all just too overwhelming.

I don't want you guys to think that this is all happening too fast. This isn't going to be cliche at all because I'm not like that.
