Ch. 3
Alex
~~~~UNEDITED~~~~
I couldn’t help thinking about Mason. I know that it was pretty sad, but I couldn’t help it. Every guy kept saying ‘hi,’ to me in the hallway as if I had known them for a while. And it was obvious that the girls that stayed away were jealous because I was pretty or because I was a ‘soon to be popular’. I barley paid attention in A.P. Calc. It was just too boring to hear another lecture again.
Right when the teacher, Mr. Burgensby, sat down, the girl in front of me turned around.
"Hi!" she said all peppy, "I’m Amanda. Are you new to the school?"
"I’m Alex; it’s nice to meet you. And yes, I am new here."
"Where did you move from?"
"Well, I moved from northern California to here."
"Oh, well it’s not much of a difference in Florida... I like it here..." She reached over, and grabbed my agenda and flipped to my schedule..."oh! We both have period D lunch!" Amanda said cheerfully.
“You should totally sit with me at lunch,” she said, smiling.
"Alright," I said, disregarding all of the other lunch invitations I had been offered. When Amanda went back to respond to me, Mr. Burgensby quieted the class. After calculus was over, I walked out with Amanda, who waited for me at the door.
"You’ll be sitting with some of my friends that have blocked D lunch, too."
"Oh, who are they?" I asked. I figured I probably had already met some of them.
"Natalie, Samantha, Lily, Rose, Rose's boyfriend, Jake, and my boyfriend, Lucas. They all are honestly amazing!” Amanda said, as we walked into the café.
I made my way through the café with Amanda and got my lunch quickly, and sat down with all of her friends.
"Hey everybody!" Amanda said all peppy and happy. I couldn’t imagine how someone could be so cheery in school. "This is Alex," everyone smiled.
"Hi! I'm Rose! And this is my boyfriend, Jake." rose had dark brown hair that was so straight that a flat iron wouldn’t so a thing. Jake, though, had shortish hair that was gelled up just a little bit. His hair was jet black, but a natural black.
"Hi!" I said.
"I’m Samantha! I hope you like it here." she had wavy golden hair, and looked absolutely amazing. I was shocked to see that she didn’t have a boyfriend sitting here.
"Thanks," I said.
"I’m Lily," said a short, little reddish brown haired, slim girl. She looked so shy; I didn’t know what to say.
"I’m Natalie," said a girl with oliveish skin, dark brown hair, and green eyes. She was probably the prettiest out of the group. Natalie showed no interest in talking to me. I glared at her, not taking anything, especially on the first day.
"And last, definitely not least, my amazing boyfriend, Lucas." Amanda said her dirty blonde curls bouncing as she jumped up all peppy.
"Hi," Lucas said, "since I was already introduced..." his voice faded off as he was staring at Amanda, laughing at her obnoxiousness. Lucas's hair was brown and sort of shaggy, but he barely had enough so that he could flip it. He was slender and muscular, though, very good looking.
I took a seat and just kind of picked at my food, although I was starving. I started most of the conversations, but the ones that I didn’t Natalie started. Natalie was clearly the head of this clique. I could tell she found my presence there as a challenge to her authority. I heard Natalie mention the name ‘Mason’ a few times, and she called him her boyfriend. I laughed each time she said that, because the way he looked at me first period, well, let’s just say he lets his eyes wander a little too much.
A/N
This is kind of boring and is a filler chapter just so you all get the feel for the characters. Tell me what you think!
P.S. I was only going to do Mason and Alex's POV
I hope you enjoy!
