          “What did you do?” I asked my dad as he drove me to school.

          He kept his eyes fixed on the road, clearly avoiding my gaze at all costs. “Nothing,” He finally managed, but kept looking at me funny.

          “What?” I asked, somewhat annoyed.

          “I’m leaving for a few days. It’s just another business trip. I just have to finalize it with the butler and-”

          “I don’t need a babysitter. Please, can I just stay home without someone in my face every five seconds?”

          My dad looked as if he was contemplating my proposal, and I really hoped that he was. “Are you sure that you will be ok? And I don’t want any parties, do you hear me?”

          I looked at my dad and nodded. “Am I allowed out of the house?” I asked, making it sound like I was always on house arrest.

          “Yes, but not after 11.”

          “Thanks daddy!” I said, giving him a quick hug as we pulled up at my school. I only called him daddy when I just got something that I wanted.

          I opened the car door, and started walking to the front door. Of course, everyone was staring at me. I had grown used to this by now. I was wearing a pretty aqua and black sundress, that accented my body in the right places.

          I even caught Mason out of the corner of my eye checking me out. I shrugged it off though. He was with Natalie, who used to be ‘all that’ until I came along.

          “Hey!” Amanda said, hooking our arms together and spinning me around.

          “Hey, what’s up?” I asked, looking at her beaming face.

          “Lucas is having a party tonight! You have to come!” Amanda said, completely exaggerating every word.

          “Sure, I’ll be there,” I said with a smile, and watched Amanda go off to find more people to invite. Most of the people I probably wasn’t going to even know, yet I knew that they were all going to know me.

          I saw Amanda go up to Mason and his group, probably asking them to the party. I laughed to myself, thinking what a great Thursday night this was actually going to be.

I do promise that the chapters will be getting longer and for anyone that reads my author's notes, you should be proud of me because I actually updated a lot more than I had planned to.

SPOILER: Shit is going to go down at the party...is that a good thing or a bad thing...?

Also, I just wanted to let you guys know that I am very close to finishing for nanowrimo and then I will be updating at least once a week. I really miss writing my other stories!
