Ch. 14

Mason

~~~~UNEDITED~~~~
"Hi beautiful," I said as I threw my arm around my Alex's shoulders. She pushed my hand down.
"Stop, Mason, please." I couldn’t even focus on what she was saying. She lost me in her voice when she said my name.
"I think we should make our walk a little longer today, huh?" I asked.
"Did you not just hear me? Mason, I can’t do this anymore."
"Why?"
"You can’t treat me like this when you have a girlfriend."
"We can forget about her," I said seductively.
"Maybe you can, but I can’t. I’ll keep your dirty little secret, ok? You can just leave me alone now. I won’t tell anyone and you can go on and have a fantastic relationship with Natalie. You two deserve each other." Alex said, and started walking away, without me. The thing was, was that I couldn’t leave her alone. I wanted to forget about Natalie when I was around her.
"Alex," I said, slightly pleading. She didn’t turn around. "Alex, wait." She slowed down this time, and I took it as an opportunity. "I’m sorry. Can I still walk you home?" I said, now walking up behind her. I could tell that she was contemplating my option.
She spun around and pulled my face close to hers. My heart was racing. "No," she whispered in my ear and walked away, laughing quietly.
"Why?"
"No specific reason."
"So you have a reason?" When she turned around to answer me, I saw a hint of worry in her eyes. "What’s wrong?"
"Nothing, really."
"If nothing was wrong then why can’t I walk you home?"
"I don’t want you to."
"Don’t lie to me." I said, giving her a look telling her that I wanted to know.
"My dad’s going to be home. There are you happy now?"
"So what?"
"I don’t want him to see you."
"Why is that? I’m not your boyfriend or anything so he can keep his shot gun in the house." I joked; trying to make her laugh so I could see her smile.
"Fine, but don’t blame me though."
"Blame you for what?"
"Well, I guess you will just have to find out and see," She said, winking at me and walking away.
I walked next to her, our hands brushing against each other’s from time to time. I enjoyed this more than I should. I knew it was time that I broke up with Natalie. I just wanted Alex so bad.
I walked her up her drive way. Her dad stood in the door way, eyeing me skeptically. He stood probably six feet tall, and looked strong. "Hello, sir," I said, as I came close to the front porch.
"Can I ask what you are doing with my daughter?" His voice was stern and extremely serious.
"I am just bringing her home, sir."
"Bye, Mason." Alex said, walking past her dad, looking back at me with a worried expression.
"It was a pleasure meeting you, sir." I said, extending my hand. He shook my hand and nodded.
"I don’t want any funny business, Mason."
"Oh, no sir, I’m not dating her."
"That’s what they all say. Even more a reason to give you full warning now." He looked very intimidating and serious.
"Consider me warned," I said with a smile and turned to walk away with a nod of my head.
A/N
So yes I know that my author's notes for this story have become a habit, but this is one of my favorite ones :)
So right now, Mason is my personal favorite. I love Alex and her badassness (if that's even a word). Her character is based off of me :) But I want to know what you guys think! And I wouldn't be updating right now but I got a new fan of this story, so I decided I would.
Sorry for the scarse updates, but I will update like every four days or so after november! I promise. And I'm doing Nanowrimo which is why I am focusing all of my energy towards it. Thank you guys for being such great fans!
P.S.
This is one of my favorite chapters that I have written in Mason's POV. Chapter twenty three is probably by far my favorite for future chapters, but if I get more fans for this story, then I will update as often as I can. But I'm hoping for maybe 2 more updates the rest of november. That is the bear minimum though :)
