--------------Alex’s Pov---------

“the park” I said smiling climbing into his car

 

“park it is” Jacob said sliding in the drivers side

 

“its getting late, my brother and parents will be worried if i'm out much longer” I said looking out the window

 

“we’ll be fine babe” Jake said starting the car pulling out and within 20 minutes we were at the huge park

 

“I truly think that this park takes up half of the town” I sigh walking beside Jake holding his hand.

 

“It takes up more than that, theres more property past the woods” He said as some children ran past waving at him.

 

“I know Kat and I went exploring in there when we were kids, walked all the way through. We ran into someone and we got yelled at. We stay out of there now” I said shaking my head and jake squeezed my hand  

 

“well I live back there, people are a bit protective of their land” Jake said laughing nervously.

 

“I guess” I said dismissing the act

 

“what do you want to do”

 

“let’s go to the old willow!” I yelled running ahead of him, going across the bridge

 

“hey, hold up” Jake said running after me and grabbing my wrist pulling back to him “why in such a hurry” He teased hugging me from behind

 

“I go to that tree all the time, to think or draw or well lots of things. Its my 2nd home come on you're keeping me away from it!” I whined out pulling him along.

 

“ok, ok” He chuckled at me speeding up. I pulled him across the park to the old weeping willow hanging over the small stream that flowed throughout the entire park.

“You like trees don't you” Jake asked smiling

“There connected to nature, literally the roots. I feel at home here, always feel safe. I can climb to the top of a tree with out being scared of falling or the branch braking.” I say smiling fondly into the upper branches, being cradled in the thick trunk. Jake sat next to me again intertwining our fingers and closing his eyes.

 

“you planned this, didn't you” I giggled

 

“this whole date was on the fly, love” Jake said peacefully keeping his eyes closed
