By morning I was exhausted mentally. I was still clinging to Jake, and just wanted to sleep.

"Does it make any sense" Jake asked tuning on his side and pulling me to his chest

"It does if I can sleep" I said cuddling closer

"Ok baby, go to sleep. He said kissing my head

"goodnight" I said falling asleep

-------------------Jake's PoV----------------

I got up so I could go talk to Kat once I knew Alex was asleep. I walked down the stairs to see Kat, looking quite exhausted, typing away at her laptop.

"What are you doing" I asked looking over her shoulder

"No business of yours, go back upstairs, or get some people here for protection. Not many I don't have that many extra bedrooms" she said pushing my face away from her.

"You got Alex"

"Yes now get out" I nodded and walked outside shifting and running for my territory

'that would be a good idea' I detoured from my route to go check on them. I ran to the border and paced till a wolf I now as Matt came out

~What's up~ He asked confused

'Just wanted to make sure you're still ok here' I said looking around

~We're fine, how's Alex~ He said sniffing to make sure

'He's fine, what happened last night'

~Umm...you want the good news or bad~ Matt said shaking

'Good?' i said more as a question than a statement

~I'm an Alpha~ he said with the least amount of enthusiasm I thought possible

~They're gone, he got through with a full on attack. We were all fighting he slipped though and got to them. he kidnapped him and killed them I know it~ Matt said hanging his head in shame.

'Thats not your fault man' I said bumping him kindly

~I should have known it was a distraction, I'm going to lead this pack into the dirt~ He said

'If you have that attitude...keep confident even when you're not' I said back

~I can't take that, would you please do it I need to get back on patrol~ he sighed running off. I turned myself and ran off. I have to get some fighters from my pack. I take back off towards the boundary to get some close friends and good fighters. I walk up to River's house, and knock on the door. Quickly his little sister opened the door.

"Hi, Jacob. Rivers up stairs, come on in." his mom said opening the door more for me to be let in.

"Thanks" I said stepping in, and Tory jumped on me. Rivers mom disappeared up the stairwell.

"Hi, Tory haven't seen you in a while. You've grown." I said picking her up off my neck setting her on a chair. Tory is 5 and really small for her age.

"I growed 3 inches" she giggled running around me till River came down.

"Hey, what's up" he said bro hugging me

"I need a hand, come on." I said grabbing his wrist, and dragging him out

"Next, we need Mark and Mason." I said letting him go and walking in the direction of their house

"What happened to make you so jumpy"

'I'll explain later" I said speeding up till I came to their home. I knocked and Mason opened the door looking groggy after a few seconds.

"Oh, hello Jacob what do you need?" he asked wiping the sleep from his eyes

"I need you and Mark to come with me, sorry to wake you but its important"

"Ok, please give us some time to get ready" Mark said walking up behind Mason and grabbing him by the waist

"We'll be back in 20 minutes, please pack some clothes." I said as Mark closed the door

"Where to now" River asked following close behind

"To get Skyler...she may be able to help calm Alex down. She has that effect on people" I said walking to my house to see if Skyler was home

"Wait, why didn't I get to grab clothes" River questioned

"Use some of mine" I said bluntly walking into my house

"Fine" he muttered under his breath

"Skyler!" I yelled walking up to my room with River in toe

"What!" She yelled bumping into as she walked out of her door, which was right next to mine

"Hey, I'm right here no need to yell" I teased as she hit me playfully

"What's up" She asked leaning on the rail of to the stairs

"I need you to pack some stuff up I need your help with something I said opening my door and shoving River into my room

"Awwww, baby bro finally needs my help" She giggled walking back into her room. I walked into mine throwing some clothes for River and I into two duffle bags.

"Ready" He asked grabbing one of them slinging it over his shoulder

"Yeah, Lets get Skyler and Mark and we'll be off."

"Oh, and Jake"

"What"

"Where are we going exactly"

"Oh, right I'll catch you all up on the way."

"Whatever, lets go" He said rolling his eyes, and walking out knocking on Skylers door

"One sec!" she yelled opening the door with a old school bad on the shoulder

"Let's go, we need Mark and Mason to" I said taking the steps two at a time

"Where are we going anyways" I her her ask River behind me

"Said he would fill us in on the way" He responded walking behind he. I bound out the door and to Marks house knocking on the door once again. I heard some stumbling and the door was pulled open revealing the two with small bags with them.

"Before you ask, he said he'll tell us where we're going on the way" River said walking up to me

"Cool," Mason said stepping out followed by Mark

"Lets go" I said smiling and shifting with my bag in my mouth
