----Alex's PoV----

All I could feel was aching and a throbbing in my head. I opened my eyes and I saw I was in the bedroom and all the lights were othingff, and the curtains closed. I tried to sit up and groaned at the pain that shot through my spine.

"Are you awake, Alex?" Jake asked quietly from the doorway.

"Yeah" I yawned out. Jake stepped into the room and closed the door behind him. I felt the bed dip and Jake hugged me close to his chest.

"Are you feeling ok, Alex?" Jake asked me kissing my head as I nodded.

"Yeah, just a little pain" I said leaning into his chest humming softly

"It does hurt after our first shift, but you get used to it." Jake said leaning back so I could lay on his chest comfortably.

"First shift? Is that what happened, I don't remember anything." I said nuzzling into Jake's chest.

"Yes, love. You should be able to connect with your wolf now: Jake said making me shoot a look at him.

"I can! How?" I asked excitedly

"Just call on him, love. You will converse with him and finish the connection." Jake said with his eyes closed as he rubbed my side.

"Should I?" I asked him nervously

"Yes love, you should." he sighed holding me closer

"Ok" I said nodding and closing my eyes and calling out and asked my wolf if i could met him.

"I'll see you when you wake up" He whispered as I was transferred into a stone room. I looked around the room and I spotted a pure white wolf standing proudly in front of me with his head held high.

"Hello" I said smiling at the beautiful wolf

"Hi!" The wolf replied dropping the proud and strong stance and making it to a playful one.

"I'm Alex" I said setting down on the floor

"I know who you are, you my human. I am Cato, your wolf" He said running around me before laying next to me and putting his head on my lap. His head was almost bigger than my lap, and his shoulder came to my ear when he was laying down.

"Hello Cato" I said petting his head "You're really big, not as big as Jake but not too much smaller than River"

"I'm an alpha like Bane, so I will be bigger than normal pack members"

"You met Bane?" I asked slightly surprised

"Of course I have, I've been with you for 4 year. I just couldn't come out, mother had me locked away" Cato pouted at me.

"I know, sorry. I had no clue" I said scratching the back of my head

"It's ok, I know you didn't. But now I'm here and we have our mate" Cato cheered jumping up and prancing around again.

"You are an energetic one aren't you" I giggled at his childish antics

"Well I was surprised for 4 years. You're 17 now, most shift at 13" He said tilting his head to the right.

"Sorry" I said standing up

"I know" he said laying down on the ground.

"Could you let me out later. I wanna be with my mate and pup" Cato said turning a bit to face me.

"Yeah, I'll try to let you out whenever you need" I said nodding and looking at the wooden door.

"Ok, you should get going. By the way, this connection means we can use each others power. Always" Cato said as I opened the door. There was a white light before I was back in my body. I opened my eyes to see Jake asleep holding me to his chest. I smile and nuzzle into his neck, I sigh in contentment ill I so how late it was. I needed to pick Luka up 10 minutes ago. I jump out of bed in turn waking Jake up.

"What happened?" Jake said falling out of the bed.

"We were supposed to pick Luka up 10 minutes ago Jake!" I yelled pulling on some shorts and a tee shirt running out of the room and grabbing some car keys. Jake was one my heels pulling up his pants up. We ran to the car and ripped out of the drive way. We headed to the school and saw a almost empty parking lot. I jumped out of the car and race into the school. I make my way more calmly towards the kindergarten room. I saw all the light off and the door was locked as well. I peaked in the window and see a little body with its head down and his shoulders shaking slightly.

"Luka" I called under my breath. I looked around for Ms.Collins and I saw the halls empty. I growl lowly and feel my blood boil and rage fill me. ream the door with my shoulder and the door falls.

"Daddy?" Luka asked looking up from his folded arms. He had red puffy eyes and tear stained cheeks.

"Yeah Luka, Daddy's here" I said running over and picking him up cradling him to my chest

"What happened?" Jake asked peeking in from the doorway.

"Ms.Collins said she had bus duty. She told me to stay here and she turned off the lights and locked the door. Daddy, I'm scared of the dark!" Luka cried clinging to my neck.

"I know, peanut. Don't worry it won't happen again" I growling petting his head.

"What happened here!" came an old irritated voice

"Are you Ms.Collins?" Jake asked calmly, though he was anything but.

"Yes, and you are Alpha Jacob." she said sizing him up which just pissed him off more.

"You mouthed off to my mate after treating him like shit when he was a child. You locked my 5 year old son in a dark room. Then you challenge me. Why should I even consider letting

you stay in the pack. No I won't. You Beth Collins are banished from Lumen pack land" Jake growls lowly balling his hands into fists

"Jake, don't do anything rash" i said standing with Luka in my arms

'This is not rash, and it is all ready done" he said looking at me before turning back to Ms.Collins. "You have 10 minutes to be out of my land before I have my warriors kill you" He growled glaring at the stubborn woman who hasn't moved the whole time.

"Fine, goodbye demon children" she spat at Luka and I as she walked out of the school building.

"By bitch?" Luka yelled holding his middle finger making me gasp before Jake and I started to laugh. I saw Luka smile up at us and we walked back out to the truck before we made our way home.

Ms. Collins was a bitch and I was one back. I am scared of the dark and she locked me in a big dark room alone for 20 minutes cause she had to "talk to me". She forgot I was there and The janitor found me and called my mom. My little cousin was supposed to have her, she got transferred to Ms.Frankie
