I'm helping Trent carry his bags down to the car. He's going out with a Jordan and Andy for the weekend. We pack the bags into the car.

"I'm gonna miss you," I say wrapping my arms around his torso.
"I'm gonna miss you too babe," he says kissing my hair.
"Have a good weekend," I say going on my tip toes to give him a peck on the lips.
"I love you," he says placing his hands on my cheeks and kissing me.
"Love you, now go before I drag you back in the house," I say smiling.

He gives me one last peck before jumping into the car.

I walk back in the house already missing him, had he being here he would've tried to trip me five times already. I fall on the couch opting to watch an episode of How I Met Your Mother. Two hours later, six episodes down, I decide to get dressed so I could get some take out. I'm about to leave when Trent facetimes me.

"Hey, how's the place your staying at?" I ask.
"Great the view is killer, we got the house right on the water, so we're just gonna order in some food and chill," he says.
"Not bad for a bunch of boys," I say laughing.
"What are you doing?" He asks.
"Just about to leave to get some McDonalds," I say.
"What would you do without my cooking?" He asks with a laugh.
"They'd probably make me the CEO, because it's all I would eat," I say.
"That's very true," he says laughing.
"Where's the boys, it's really quiet, considering Andy is there," I say with a chuckle.
"They went out to buy the beers and the food, I got the job of getting the chairs set up," he says.
"And you're already not doing your job," I say with a laugh, "so what are your plans for the rest of the weekend?" I ask.
"I don't know, maybe just go to a club or two, just a boys weekends you know," he says.
"Sure because you three are such party animals, but by all means, get lit" I say sarcastically.
"Well I'm gonna get going, sounds like the boys are back," he says.
"Okay, enjoy," I say.
"Alright, love you babe," he says.
"Love you too," I say before cutting the call.

--------------
I make plans with Jordan's wife considering she's just as bored.

We get some breakfast at our favourite restaurant.

"So have you started missing Jordan yet, or are you still enjoying the silence?" I ask with a laugh.
"Missing Jordan? What do you mean?" She asks.
"Jordan, Andy and Trent are having a guys weekend," I say.
"Maybe Jordan cancelled last minute because he's at home with the kids," she says confused.
"Mmh, that's strange," I say.
"And Andy and his wife are coming over to our house tomorrow with the kids," she says.
"I'm seriously confused right now," I say running my hand through my hair.
"Wait, so Trent said he was going out with Jordan and Andy for the weekend?" She asks.
"Yeah," I say.
"And he's not at home right now?" She asks.
"No, he left yesterday," I say.
"Okay, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Maybe he had some family thing come up that he doesn't want to tell you about," she reasons.
"I just don't understand why he wouldn't tell me and more importantly, why he'd lie about where he's going," I say.
"Maybe call him, it's probably nothing malicious," she says.
"Yeah, I'll give him a call later. Let's just get back to this heavenly meal," I say with a laugh.

I decide to put my questioning off till Trent comes back. I'm anxiously waiting till he gets back since messaging me an hour ago that he's on his way. I hear the door opening and my heart starts beating like crazy.

"I missed you," he says giving me a hug.
"How was your boys weekend?" I ask.
"It was pretty low-key, nothing crazy," he says.
"Did Andy obliterate the club dance floor?" I ask with a laugh.
"You know him too well," he says.
"How was Jordan?" I ask.
"He's good as usual, always going on about the kids," he says.
"Well, I have a funny story to tell you," I say.
"Do share," he says sitting on the couch.
"So I went out with Jordan's wife this weekend and I asked her if she was missing Jordan. And she told me that Jordan was at home with the kids," I say.

Trent eyes widen.

"Don't worry, there's more. Andy and his kids were going to Jordan's house this weekend," I say with a laugh, "weird huh, how Jordan and Andy could be in two places at once."
"I can explain," Trent says.
"I think that's a good idea," I say narrowing my eyes.
"Jordan and Andy didn't go with me, I went alone," he says.
"Gee, no sh*t Sherlock. Who were you with?" I ask.
"No one, I swear," he defends himself.
"So you went there all on your own? Why? What were you doing there? What was so important there, that you had to lie to me?" I ask.
"I just wanted a weekend to myself," he says.
"That's a lie. Whenever you need time to yourself you tell me, you never have to go behind my back. Tell me the truth," I demand.
"I am telling you the truth, it was just a weekend to relax and take a break," he says.
"Who is she?" I ask.
"Who is who?" He asks.
"Who was the girl you were with this weekend?" I ask.
"Really? That's the conclusion you're jumping to?" He asks.
"Am I wrong?" I ask tilting my head.
"Yes," he says.

"Okay, I was hoping you'd say that because here's the real punchline for the story," I say taking out my phone.

"So Jordan's wife used to be friends with your ex, and they're still in contact with each other. She sent me a screenshot of your ex's Instagram story," I say showing him the picture.

"Now if you can honestly say that that's not your hand and that's not the watch you're wearing right now, then I'll be happy to move on and never bring this up again," I say raising an eyebrow

"Now if you can honestly say that that's not your hand and that's not the watch you're wearing right now, then I'll be happy to move on and never bring this up again," I say raising an eyebrow.
"Look I was jus-" he says.
"It was just you cheating," I say interrupting him, "when I told you how much I hate liars and cheaters."
"This weekend meant nothing to me," he says.
"So why did you lie to me about it if it really meant nothing to you? Why are you holding her hand? Hell, why are you even with her in the first place?" I ask.
"I'm so sorry," he says.
"Really? That's all? You're not sorry, you're sorry that I found out. You're just a liar and a cheater and basically everything I cannot stand," I say.
"If you're going to do what I think you're about to do, please don't. I promise I won't do it again," he pleads.
"I told you Trent, when it comes to cheating, I don't give second chances. Once a cheater, always a cheater. Lucky for me I had the whole weekend to pack my bags, making this situation a lot quicker. I hope you're happy with Leah? Layla? I can't quite remember your ex's name," I say walking to our room to fetch my bags.

I can hear Trent following behind me.

"I'm leaving, I don't care what excuse you have. The fact remains that you lied to my face. I deserve better than someone that cheats on me, with their ex no less," I say.
"Please forgive," he pleads.
"Forgive you? How about beg for forgiveness for wasting two years of my life?" I say rolling my eyes as I walk towards the door with my bags.
"Sara, come back, please," he says.
"Why you wanna tell me more lies? I'm not gonna sit and listen to you waste my time," I say.
"I want to explain," he says.
"Well I don't want to hear it. There's no explanation needed. Your ex's Instagram stories did that for you. Just some friendly advice, if you're going to cheat at least tell the other person to not broadcast it all over social media," I say before walking out the door,
