I sit on the kitchen counter sipping on my almost empty beer bottle. James' house is filled with the Liverpool boys celebrating their first trophy of the season.
The kitchen is empty with everyone else crowding the living room and the patio.
I always felt like a bit of an outsider when it came to being a football 'WAG'
You get the Brazilians, Bobby, Alisson and Fabinho's wives. You can understand why I don't fit into that squad. I don't speak Portuguese and I don't fancy all their shopping trips and lip filling sessions. (Call me judgy, but I was raised in the plainest traditional English household, those things are foreign to me.)
You get the Dutch wives (James and I secretly call them the Stroopwaffels), namely Virgil and Gini's wives. They're really invested in their modeling careers to attend a game, much less a party. But I'm all for women empowerment, so good on them for prioritizing their careers.
