I'm In Love

Chapter 10

The rest of the week goes by as normal and before I know it it's Friday night.

Xavier has been my personal driver for the past few days. His wound has been heeling and there hasn't been any drama.

Our relationship is still on nothing but a kiss on the lips. I am very happy, Xavier makes me happy.

Right now I'm with Xavier in his car on our way home.

"Is there something specific that I should wear tomorrow?" I ask

"No you can wear something comfortable. I'll pick you up at 4pm." He says and I nod my head

"We've almost been dating for a week but it feels like so much longer." I say as I look at him.

He glances at me with a smile on his face

"Yeah I know it feels like I've known you forever." He says

"I'm going to wear a white dress tomorrow, with red flats." I say. That day when we went shopping I just bought the dress because I loved it and now I have a special reason to look good.

"Why don't you let your hair down?" He asks

"The day Jacob almost raped me my hair was in a high ponytail and he pulled me by it. I wanted to cut my hair but my mother wouldn't let me." I say and I see his grip tighten on the steering wheel, his knuckles are turning white.

I take one of his hands in my own, and then I put it on my knee over my jeans and he looks shocked.

"Your hand is so big it covers my knee." I say with a giggle

"But it fits perfectly with your hand." He says and I smile.

I start drawing shapes and writing names on his hand.

The rest of the short drive home is silent, a comfortable silence.

When we pull into my driveway my phone starts ringing. I take it out of my pocket and answer

"Hello mommy." I say

"Hello my baby, Layla and I are at your aunts house do you want to come?" She asks

I love my aunt but I'm tired I just want to lay down and watch a movie.

"Mommy tell auntie I say hi but I just want to lay on my bed and watch a movie." I say

"Okay keep the doors locked. Are you with my future son in law?" She asks

"Yes do you want to talk to him?" I ask

"Is he going to stay with you?" She asks

"I don't know, he probably has work to do I'll be fine. I love you bye." I say and hang up

"What did your mother say?" He asks

"She isn't coming home now so I'll be home alone until tomorrow. She asked if you'll stay with me but I know that you're busy so." I say

"Do you want me to stay with you?" He asks

"Of course I do but you probably have something important to do I'll be fine I'll keep the doors locked." I say

"I was actually just gonna go home and have my sister and brother tease me and make me nervous about tomorrow." He says and I smile

"I'm the nervous one here, what if they don't like me? Will you leave me?" I ask

"They will love you, my mother especially, if they don't like you then I don't like them easy and simple. I will never leave you." He says and I smile

"Are You going to spend the night?" I ask and he nods

"Lets just go to buy some things." He says and pulls out of the driveway.

"What do you want?" I ask

"We'll see when we get there." He says and we soon arive at a mall not far from my house. We get out and he puts a cap and glasses on my head.

"What are you doing?" I ask

"Keep it on the paparazzi is here. Stay close to me and keep your head down." He says and puts his arm around my shoulders and presses my face into his chest.

We walk fast into the mall and into a store that sells groceries.

"Mr. Knight, what a pleasant surprise." A man says as we walk into the store. He looks to be in his late forties

"Keep the paparazzi out I want to buy some things for my girlfriend." Xavier says with a stern voice and a straight face.

"Of cource sir." He says and scurries off.

He takes a cart and we start walking.

"Can I take this off now?" I ask

"Yeah just don't go to the Windows." He says

"Why were you so rude to that man?" I ask

"I wasn't rude I was just stern, if I'm nice and buddy buddy with eceryone I'll lose the respect I've worked too hard to earn. What do you want?" He asks

"I don't want your money Xavier, I don't want you to buy me anything with your money." I say

"I know that you don't like me for my money and that's one of the things I love about you but you are my girlfriend so I have a right to spoil you." He says

"Fine, but don't say I didn't warn you." I say and start throwing everything I like in the cart.

Soon the cart is full and we go to the till to pay.

Xavier pulls out a black card and swipes it.

"Put the glasses and the hat back on." He says and I do as I'm told and we walk back to his car with bags in our hands.

On our way back to my house I send my mother and father a message and tell them not to come home tonight. They both say that it's okay and man I love my parents

As soon as we get there I open the door and we go inside. We put the things in the kitchen and I take most of it to my bedroom.

Xavier just sits in the living room and watches something.

"Xavier!" I shout from my room and I hear his footsteps come to me.

"Are we going to sit in your room?" He asks

"Yip you can sit on my bed while I go change in the bathroom." I say and take my toiletry bag and a pink pajama shirt and its three quarter pants.

I don't sleep with a bra so my nipples are pointing through the shirt.

Let's tease poor Xavier a little.

I walk back to my room and grab my laptop.

"So what are we gonna watch?" I ask as I go to my movies folder.

"Whatever you want." He says

I decide to put on the movie 'After' ( did you know that that movie started out as a book on wattpad? 😘)

"Move backwards." I say and he listens.

He took off his suit jacket and rolled up his shirts sleeves, he took his shoes off as well. He sits against the headboard and I lay my head on his chest and we start watching the movie.
