Chapter 29

I wake up to groaning? What the...
I open my eyes and find Xavier fast asleep with a frown on his face, he's groaning.

"Don't go Annalise." He says

"Xavier wake up." I say and lightly shake him. He doesn't even seem bothered by it. He asked for it.
"Xavier! Wake up!" I almost shout and shake him tougher. He opens his eyes and looks at me.
"It was just a bad dream." I say and he nods but stands up.

"Come." He says and holds out his hand. I take it and he leads me to the room with the piano, he sits on the floor and makes me sit on the couch. He lays his head on my lap and holds my waist. I rub his head.
"Sing to me." He says

"What should I sing?" I ask

"Paint my love." He says and I start singing.

When the song is done, he looks up at me and I see pain and myserry in his eyes. I know just what to sing.

I start singing Hold me now by Kirk Franklin, it's a gospel song.

"God can and he will hold you now. Don't you worry he can hold you now." I finish the last lines of the song.

"When I was sad my grandmother would always sing that song to me." He says.

"You wanna talk about it?" I ask

"No, it was just a dream, I know that you'll never leave me, right?" He asks

"Not even for all the diamonds and gold in the world." I say.

"You know the first day I saw you I told Alex 'she's mine' and he just laughed, I saw you for the first time in a mall a few months ago. You had a black and white dress on with black sneakers and you were with your mother and Layla. And then I saw you again in the restaurant, I couldn't let you get away again." He says

"Xavier Knight my stalker who would've thought?" I say in a playful tone and he laughs.

"You are writing exams these next two weeks right?" He asks

"Yip, I need to study so i don't think my parents will let me see you very often. We can hold the wedding in a month, just before your birthday." I say

"The wedding, we're actually going to get married, you still need to meet the rest of my family." He says

"And You need to meet mine, we've only known each other for two weeks and we're already engaged." I say with a giggle

"Better early than late." He says and I laugh.

"I still need to interview you." I say

"Yeah, totally professional." He says

"They will probably think I made it up and the professor will fail me." I say and sigh

"Of they don't believe you, call me." He says

"Okay, I never thought that I'd be getting married to a millionaire." I say teasing him.

"Billionaire love." He says and I kiss him on his head

"I know, are you feeling better now?" I ask

"Yeah, let's go back to bed it's not even dawn yet." Xavier says and stands up.

We go back to our room and we sleep a bit longer.

The next time I wake up the sun is already up but Xavier is still sleeping, I decide to make breakfast. I bush my teeth and hair then I put on a bath robe and head downstairs.

I listen to a few songs as I make the pancakes and muffins. This time I made blueberry and chocolate muffins.

I take the last muffin pan out of the oven and turn around to see three men standing in the doorway without shirts, in just sweatpants looking at me. I take the earphones out of my ears and look at them.

"Um good morning, was i making a noise?" I ask. They smile and greet me.

"You do have a beautiful voice." Ferro says and tries to take one of my muffins but I hit him on the hand with my spatula.

"Hands off my muffins." I say in a warning voice.

"You heard the lady." Xavier says and gives me a kiss on the cheek.

"Go wash your hands boys." I say with a smile

"Definitly wife material." Ace says as they walk next to each other to the washroom.

I take the last panckes out of the pan and quickly set the table. I hope i made enough pancakes, they are 30 more or less.

I take 2 for myself and two blueberry muffins. The boys come back and take their seats, they each only put one pancake on their plates but Xavier takes 3.

We start eating and before i can even finish my first I see Ace and Ferro each take a few more.

"This is delicious." Ace says

"Do you perhaps have a sister I can marry that can bake as well as you?" Ferro asks.

"I actually do, I'm sure you'll love her." I say

"Really what's her name?" He asks

"Layla." I say and he smirks

"Layla a beautiful name, I want to meet her." He says

"I'll arange something, she is extremely picky." I say

"But she is just so cute and she looks just like Annalise." Xavier says

The rest of breakfast goes by with us talking nonsense and the boys fighting for the last pancake which Xavier ate while they were bickering

After breakfast I took a shower and decided to wear a black dress with white flats and I pull my hair into a high ponytail.

Right now I'm in Xaviers office interviewing him, he kept it strictly professional, apart from winking and smirking at me from time to time.

When the interview is done we decide to watch a movie in the living room.
I want to watch Twilight and he wants to watch Fifty shades of grey.

"Okay how about this, rock paper scissors?" He asks

"Fine." I say and we play then I win.

We watch the movie and I go crazy when they start kissing on her bed.

"If only someone could kiss me with so much care, love, passion and affection." I say

"That guy has nothing on me." Xavier says

"Can you break a bed when you have sex?" I ask

"I have actually, it wasn't my bed though." He says and I just roll my eyes. The rest of the day goes by in a relaxed way until I need to go home.

He drops me off and I go inside, I say with my family and talk about the event and how my day was, leaving out a few details about Xavier and I kissing through a few scenes in the movie and the entire Valentino and the gun and singing things last night.

I go to bed and just before I fall asleep Xavier sends me a text.

"Goodnight love, I miss you, I love you. 💖" it says

"Goodnight baby, sleep well, I love you too. 😘" I text back then I go to sleep

What a nice day.
